If you could only have ONE ship.......

Why smaller? You can pretty much dock 2 Pythons onto a Corvette, let alone a Cobra 3 [big grin]

Edit: More specific information:
Cobra Mk3 = 27m lenght, 44m width.
Corvette = 168m lenght, 87m width.

Cool. I'll take one to go please? :D

Oh crap, you said Pythons! FD: I would like to carry my Python, the Atomic Eggplant as a fighter! Please? (OK...so I'd be a little OP'd compared to all NPC, but it would sure be fun!)

Haha! Imagine getting blown up in your Corvette only to emerge from middle of the debris flying a Python this time.

The snakes seem to be safe at this point so someone has to "save the whales". I'll take my Dolphin. Fun ship to fly and there's bound to be plenty of rich customers on outposts begging to escape. It's also pretty darned nice for planetary landings and a touch of class/luxury never hurt.

Yeah - that's fun - but I have yet to go to an Outpost and find a passenger mission to another Outpost.

Duh...

Sure wish we could get Medium sized SK an Gutmaya size ships.

And

The Panther Clipper, of course.

Till then - Python

Strange because I have. Were you in a Dolphin? Nevertheless I'm sure all the VIP's will be running once the Thargoids start. Agree on the medium ships as well.

If I could have only one ship, the choice would be super easy: the Asp Explorer. It's simply the best do everything ship in the game. Great jump range, decent cargo size, pretty good in combat, excellent explorer, fantastic supercruise agility, best view out the cockpit in the game, medium pad capability, plenty of internals, etc. Not even a contest for me.

It would have to be my Cutter, I love my Anaconda too but I love flying the Cutter and she outfits a lot better for my purposes and is just downright iconic looking.

I am torn between my python and my FDL.

The python is pretty good for just about any job, but the FDL would be best suited to taking the fight to the thargoids, the pair of rail guns on the nose aren't something to argue with.

The Anaconda. It can do anything i want to do, except landing on outposts.

Additional note: Python is a close second. If the ship was capable of equipping a fighterbay, i would probably pick that instead.

OP says 'ONE', you will get splinters sitting on that fence, man up and CHOOSE ONE!!!

FINE THEN!!! The FDL! Better to take the fight to the flower loving 'goids. If the bubble becomes difficult to navigate safely, might as well be in a combat ship to get some old fashioned REVENGE!! EAT TUNGSTEN YOU ALIEN [REDACTED]!!!!

There, happy now?
