If you could only pick 30 more habitat animals...

10. Meerkat (how are they not already in game???)

I am highly speculating, but strongly suspect they aren't in the game yet due to both size and burrowing mechanics, as well of course a need for a new rig. In fact, I'm wondering if size is not necessarily a factor, but more how they (and any other burrowing animal) interact with the terrain. The few animals we do have that "could" burrow based on real life behavior, do not in the game. So my guess is they're trying to figure out how to get animals to interact with terrain without the game thinking they've escape or actually having them escape.

If that's the case, until that's figured out, they likely won't make an appearance. Unlike aardvarks, and even (for future animals) badgers or wombats, having meerkats would
necessitate having a burrowing function.

Sorry for the long explanation of a speculation. But it's the only thing I can think of logically, as to why such a staple of zoos wasn't included and hasn't been as yet.

(For what it's worth, they've been my #1 most wanted animal since the base game came out. I even have all my zoos that have a global theme having an area I think would suffice for them, just so I don't have to redesign anything, and I know I'm going to want them upfront and center!)

I am excluding Prehistoric Animals from this list, because i dou they would add them. This list is not necessarily in order
of Preference. This list also excludes any anim from the current dlc and the Aquatic pack.

Great to see more people taking part in this! I don't want to despise other people's wishlist threads (they're all equally good) but I think it'd be great if we had a common place to share our wishlist with a reasonable number of animals we could expect with the current DLC model.

I love this idea, in my opinion there are a few groups that need filling out. I’ve included a mixture of animals that have been in previous zoo games (particularly zoo tycoon 1 and 2) and animals that are quite common in zoos around the world. So in animals groups my most wished 30 habitat animals are:
Candida-
-Fennec Fox
-Aardwolf
-Ethiopian Wolf

Felines:
-Pallas Cat
-Amur Leopard
-Florida Panther
-Eurasian Lynx
-Clouded Leopard

Bears:
-Sunbear
-Spectacled Bear

Ungulates:
-Moose
-Ibex
-Scimitar Horned Oryx
-Addax
-Saiga
-Gerenuk
-Malayan Tapir
-Black Rhinoceros

Primates:
-Gibbon
-Howler Monkey
-Baboon

Small Mammals:
-Meerkat
-Ratel
-Wombat
-Wolverine
-Sloth

Birds:
-Secretary Bird
-Gentoo Penguin

Reptiles:

there is a more current thread here:

It would be really great if you could post it also there to be a part of making a ranking

Will/Did Planet Zoo creators and designers see and accept our thoughts, comments and writings of ours and everyone's ideas and suggestions? If not, will that be like pointless to send those?

And these are what I hope Planet Zoo will accept and have.
  1. Any African rhinoceros
  2. African leopard
  3. Rock mountains subspecies of puma/cougar/mountain lion
  4. Dromedary camel
  5. California sea lion
  6. Lar gibbon
  7. Scimitar oryx
  8. Another species of penguins
  9. American alligator
  10. Clouded leopard
  11. Gaur
  12. Wolverine
  13. Moose
  14. Alpine ibex
That's all I could think of. The rest is up to Planet Zoo makers and someone/anyone else.

The devs ready the boards and will see the lists. Whether / how much this will affect their plans is anyone’s guess.
Well thanks i guess.

  2. Meerkat
  3. Honey Badger
  4. Walrus
  5. California Sea Lion
  6. Grey Crowned Crane
  7. Sandhill Crane
  8. Moose
  9. North American Beaver
  10. Coyote (yeah another canine but they're cool and would be good for desert areas)
  11. Two-toed Sloth (I personally prefer three-toed sloths aesthetically but two-toed sloths are more common in captivity)
  12. Capybara
  13. Gentoo Penguin
  14. Dromedary Camel
  15. Fennec Fox
  16. Brown Howler Monkey
  17. Proboscis Monkey
  18. Squirrel Monkey

  22. Yak
  23. Tasmanian Devil
  24. Wombat
  25. Duck-billed Platypus
  26. Binturong

  29. American Alligator
  30. Maned Wolf
And white rhinos are more affordable for zoos than other rhino species that were too endangered. Did I say it right?

Here's what 30 animals I'd pick (given the assumed constraints of animal picks, much to my dismay). Exhibit animals will be excluded since most people care more about habitat animals, and the options are also unordered. I will go into further detail if asked
