beeing slighlty patritic i would name it Tordenskjold, after the great Norwegian admiral.

I do know about Plovers, we have some that nest on the roof of our back yard car port and one of them lays eggs that the local cats take and eat for themselves and these bird become quite annoying if not dangerous. As they make threatening shrieking noises and will fly right at me then doge at the last moment anytime I enter the backyard.

The variety of Plover I am referring is rightly called the Masked-Lapwing

But we just call them Plovers.

According to myth, the spur on their wings will inject venom when they penetrate the hide of any animal or human they have landed a successful strike against.

Not actually Sci-Fi, but I could imagine space ship with the bearing name Cutter's Goose or perhaps 3RD Millinnium Cutter's Goose in this game.

"Oh No, Not Again" maybe for a Douglas Adams reference.

I hate to be a massive pedant, but the game is set in 3250 - which is during the fourth millenium. We're already in the third. :p
Mine would be a local ship for local people, the RV There's Nothing For You Here!

Hmm I also think You're My Wife Now would be a good name for a ship. Of course I'd have to hail everyone and call them 'Dave'.

I stand correct as well, as I always get what century we're currently in mixed up as well.

So we are in the 21 or 22nd century, I'm not too sure?
