From what I understand it was a recent thing going by BGS group chatter. When did this happen , I hadn't picked up on this and admittedly it was a year or so ( maybe 2?) When a big PF tried to bully a Small PF out of a system . Thanks

What happens is (the last time I checked which was a while ago because I needed to be able to affect the BGS) you get a warning alert as normal in the instance but once you leave that instance the affect is nothing (i.e. its forgiven as if it never happened). From what I recall there is no monetary bounty issued, which led me to believe that its a non zero value that drives the underpinnings.question on that. does that mean you get fines and bounties in instances, but at leaving the instance it is reset to zero?
Its a pain really, because although fun it also means you can't do naughty BGS work as R5. I would deliberately sit at R4 or less just to avoid that problem.very interesting indeed!
... with the caveat of that chatter rarely being put to test, see for exampel "bounty redeems via FC have 25% effect of station redeems", what was chattered a lot, but was testable wrong. From what I understand it was a recent thing going by BGS group chatter.
From what was said this was with BGS players observations from recent activity.... with the caveat of that chatter rarely being put to test, see for exampel "bounty redeems via FC have 25% effect of station redeems", what was chattered a lot, but was testable wrong.
so as long as nobody puts forward a test that negative trading doesn't work neither in horizons nor odyssey i'd look at it as chatter, not gospel (same as me claiming security has an effect on prices, as it had 6 years ago or so ... before going and having a look that it doesn't anymore)
So can save ammo and let the planet gravity just kill them and nothing changes. OK.in the case of npc's, if you or any cmdr is beating on one and you do not leave the instance, if he dies, the kill is yours unless another cmdr shot at him after you.
you can see this in normal bounty hunting. (works the same for anarchy system killing.)
it boils down to if you clip a clean ship in an extraction, nav etc.., you need to leave the instance before he dies or you will get a bounty on you instead of just a 100 or 200 cr fine.
this is very common and old.
an hour later you can both still be in the same instance, if he dies.....it's still on you.
in anarchy you wont be seeing fines or bounties but its the same mechanics.
My strat in surface CZs is too rail snipe out the NPC or player 's thrusters, and let the planet do free absolute damage. Sometimes it even results in the kill.just a quick question
So if you are killing ships but a planet surface or rock in ring does the final kill damage, does the death still lower that faction's status... If in anarchy, government system...
