General / Off-Topic If you want Frontier Dev stock, buy now.

I try to have effectively more of the bank's money than they have of mine, although in my case it is low risk as that is tied up in the mortgage. Best we can do is NOT to do anything stupid and let things settle down a bit, says the person who bought a Vive on the basis of predicting price increases ahead! Not for the first time I hope I'm wrong...

Personally, I intend to follow that maxim as well. I certainly won't be thinking about any stocks of other volatile investments.

Buying stock right now is really a bad idea in general. Don't buy stock because the confidence is gone is my advice. Unless you want a short term gain of very little. Let's face it people who bet on the short term are taking high risk, in the same way atm I would not advise you mess with your portfolio too much.

That said I have most of my stock in the US markets thank all that is holy: my stock in the UK fell by 10% after the Brexit vote. It's going to languish there for a while mayhaps, but it's only one stock.

Not that I care at all I more care for all the people who are going to lose because of this because of idiots and right wing racists, and it will be the poor who suffer it always ferking is. I wouldn't care i if my stock was worthless overnight in this country because this country is a bit of a sink hole of depressed whiners.

Slow claps the brexit numb nuts*

I've never been so depressed to call my self an English man and I was never that patriotic in the first place, but the brexit vote has destroyed my faith in England not the UK of coruse the Scotish and NI weren't that ferking dumb, but they are gone after the next referendum to get the hell away from idiots., it's a sink hole of selfish self absorbed people, who don't do anything but whine, it seems.

Bye bye UK and bye bye The British Isles, and you just know being the first the EU is going to really hammer us over this as well. To make an example of us.

we're going to get it right up the aris.

Bend over UK and hope you've put some real decent lube on.

Banks begin moving some operations out of Britain

Banks have already begun to take action to shift operations out of the UK, with the governor of
France’s central bank warning on Saturday that Britain’s financial services were at risk of losing
their right to operate across the EU.
Investment banks have reacted immediately to Britain’s referendum result, with some of the City’s
largest institutions approaching regulators to secure licences and lining up executives to relocate.
The big US banks — JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Bank of
America, Citigroup and Morgan Stanley — have large operations employing tens of thousands of
people in the UK. They are now preparing to shift some of this work to cities such as Dublin, Paris
and Frankfurt.

...............................
The first significant comments from a European Central Bank official make it clear that the EU will
not give the British financial sector an easy transition.
Lawyers advising US investment banks have warned that the so called passporting rights they rely
on to sell products and services from Britain to EU clients could be partially or entirely abolished
depending on the outcome of negotiations over the UK’s exit from the EU.
“We’ll get on with it,” said a senior executive at one large US bank. “We’ve started to think about
how we put people in our existing offices and entities in Europe. We are already rebalancing our
footprint.”

Many traders here, who will return to the earth and stopping of enriching themselves on the misfortunes of others. No compassion on my part for many of them, if they lose their jobs. The speculation does not deserve the sympathy

That's a really odd thing to say. Could you clarify what you mean? I am sure you have a valid point but what you said seems odd and a little knee jerk- eat the rich.

There's always someone to blame, not yourselves, thanks for the bank links btw: interesting.

I personally think we should go with the idea of a second vote since the margin of victory was so small. Although that might sound like sour grapes. I think it would be wise, because I seriously think most people who voted out, did not consider the consequences and are now.

World power, what do you mean by that. Not really 6th. Let's face it in terms of political clout the term is meaningless. If we're talking economics the term is meaningless. No one is in a ranking order like that. Sadly everyone likes to do score boards, but it is meaningless. And shows how little moxie most people have. It's childish at best.

Bouncing back aleady. :)

But not as much as expected.

While the FTSE 100 bounced back to 60% of the fall, the FTSE 250 only bounced back 40%.

And the FTSE 100 isn't really a good indicator for the british economy since there are many international companies in there.

They're in the FTSE 250, too, but their share is way lower there.

But the markets are still in turmoil after all. I guess we have to wait a couple of weeks. :)

You won't, this is rich people's stuff and I know you're not a rich person because you're here! :D Boom Boom :D

More seriously though, it's kinda early days to be checking the UK's place in the financial world.

The biggest concern is a Johnson government will implement tax cuts to stimulate growth. Farrage will use that to further promote himself and we may yet end up with Farrage as PM.

Then it will be time to think about leaving.

I heard some fellow on a council estate in London, on the News this evening saying, 'It Can't Get Any Worse,'.

I regret I didn't buy Frontier shares before, but now I'm considering to scoop buy one as I have a little free cash on my broker account.

Since -all things considered- I guess FDev shares will remain on the rise, I'll watch the GBP after today's BoE policy decision. :)
