ignore illegal/illicit cargo

Go back to your old topic about you complaining about supercruise. This has Nothing to do with supercruise.
Actually it does. Why are you ok with players like yourself being able to walk away from the game under certain circumstances, but not others?

The flag should probably be for ONLY cargo that would be marked stolen though - locally illicit cargo types can be handled by the existing ignore filter(s). The caveat to this being that the ignore ware type list should probably be exposed and directly editable. That being said - adding a second flag to (temporarily) ignore locally illegal cargo types would not be unreasonable.
The ability to edit the ignore list is really the crux of the issue here. If the only way to ignore/unignore ILLEGAL cargo is to have a sample of it in front of you it is going to be dificult to to get things on or off your ignore list.

As for why ignore all illeagle cargo instead of just monitoring it as you play. What if you are still fighting? I might be willing to leave my scoop open and let some limpet fly around grabbing mats, but I don't have time to fiddle with managing my inventory in the middle of a fire fight. Sure fighting with your cargo scoop open may be stupid, but hey who can say how I choose to play the game.

If I'm killing bad guys and a good guy gets killed (by the bad guys) and I accidentally scoop his now illegal cargo, do the cops suddenly turn on me too?! I'm not above a little battlefield scavenging, but getting labeled a "bad guy" because I accidentally grabbed some illegal cargo and got scanned before I could drop it seems a bit harsh.

Yeah it's a valid complaint. I have to be constantly be ignoring all sorts of stolen cargo those criminal types often drop. Then, later on, I have to remember to unignore when I'm mining or doing something else that actually requires me to pick up minerals or cargo. For completeness, the collector limpet ignore function should have 3 settings: off (pick up everything), ignore illegal cargo (pick up clean cargo and materials), ignore all cargo (pick up materials only).
