It " should " say in mission description if they're wanted.
Well the ones I've seen anyway. Haven't done any for 2 weeks though...

In the mission description it usually says something about the passenger may be wanted in some systems. But I haven't done one since the Odyssey-Update, so they might not say any more.

The big tip-off for me is the huge money for a quick site-seeing trip.

Passenger missions are bugged, plain and simple. We are not dealing with the obvious criminal passengers--everybody can see that you can get in trouble transporting them--, but with the "normal" people.

In Horizons there was line in the mission description of rich tourists or VIPs that "this passenger might be wanted in some systems" which indicated that you got an illegal passenger. This line is gone in Odyssey. The only indicator for illegals is the threat level: 5 and above means trouble.

And this is second problem: almost any rich tourist, medical chief officer etc. is now criminal--you are very lucky if you find a single tourist at a station with threat level of 4 or lower.

So, basically, tourist missions are gone.

We should have an option to space ‘em, after all, we can murder NPC ships and now “people”.

Haven’t done any passenger missions in forever, but I used to do regular missions for refugees, they weren’t demanding and always grateful.

Thank you. Sometimes i like to run a few ez-pz runs and rather not have to watch for scans. Its annoying when you loading your 5th cabin and now what was a "cruise control run" turns into a pay attention run.

I think it should be viewable at a higher level in the selection or really nice is a tick box.

I am also missing where does it show what grade of cabin they want, until i get to the pick a cabin screen. I am at a point where i just hit the auto-fill button then spend the time cherry picking.

The bug is still there. I just picked up passenger transport missions between Bharaba System and Mohang O system and had multiple illegal passengers with no indication priror to accepting the mission.

aye this, i havent been scanned since 3302,

leave your docking computers with the rest of the armbands and prams and FA off into the mailslot like a proper pilot at 500m/s minimum.... and there shall be no scanning.
Flight assist is a good handbrake when you do a 180 degree blue zone turn inside the station though. Passengers love sudden g-forces, beats silent running or station assisted sudden deceleration.

I am sure there are similar systems for running illegal passengers.... but in Robigo, they just don't care. I think every passenger on my ship is illegal, but they never scan to check when I get back from the tourist run, so not a problem!

I'd wager after seeng the absurd numbers of criminals getting smuggled in by players the security guys just stopped caring.

It would be pretty cool if outside a starports range, you could meet up with an NPC ship and hand him a bribe to not be scanned. Of course I am sure the bribe would only work 90% of the time, as maybe he got caught. Would add some extra depth to the game... meanwhile just pop a heat sink and cruise on in.

As far as I have ever seen, it literally says in the mission descriptions that you are goin to transport a "criminal mastermind" or some such. Has this changed?

If it's Robigo Mines we're specifically talking about, I think it may be because it's an outpost as security tend to be more lax around them.
