Hi,
I'm just about 5K LY away from the bubble and I'm running around systems that have not been explored before (no "First Discovered by" tags anywhere). I spotted this one planet with a single geological site on it so I landed and discovered a crash site not far away from there.
There were 4 occupied escape pods but they were "illegal salvage".
What sense does this make? Lore-wise these are some people who first came to this unexplored planet in an unexplored system 5000 LY away from the bubble, somehow managed to crash here and survive in escape pods but if you dare to save them and try to bring them back home you will commit a crime?
I know that these sites are randomly spawned on planet surfaces but maybe salvage found certain distance from the bubble could be always legal? I also know that this will most likely not get addressed because this does not matter that much since many explorers don't even bring cargo racks with them and even if they do, escape pods only pay about 30K credits a piece so they're not worth the trouble bringing them back but this just makes no sense and looks pretty weird.
