Just considering buying the Fuel for i.e. my Python would be insane
It's indeed quite confusing to see x tons of Fuel being sold for drastically different prices, just because you run another Ship.
Even it's one day displayed as different types of Fuel - I don't see anyone reasonably explaining these massive, extreme differences.
And since all Ships refuel on the same suns, using the same Fuel Scoops - it just seems downright illogical, doens't make any sense when it's at these extremes.
PS.
Going by that - fuel prices per ton should be exactly what they are in the Commoditiy Market. Same for all ships. Everything else would be nonsensical and contradictory.
Falcon it doesn't work like that. You cant just buy 1T of Jet A and load it into an aircraft like your car in a petrol station... Hydrogen fuel has it's price in the commodity market, but if some of you want to get deep, start factoring purity testing, loading costs, ground staff, etc etc etc

Yeah, but we are speaking about a space-cow here, a truck. Even my Anaconda is vastly cheaper than my T-9. As far as reality is concerned, I somehow doubt that 18-wheelers pay more for diesel than I do. Hell, even me in my Range Rover only pays a pound ten per litre.
How many trucks do you know that carry 64T of fuel? Plus a truck is relatively simple to fuel. I know we use the word trucking a lot, but these machines are more like Large freight ships/aircraft from a logistics point of view.
