Are you a CareBear too?

I do mainly PvE stuff in Open Play with the understanding that I'll encounter other players, some of which may be friendly and some may be hostile.

I don't really know what that makes me? Or maybe I should stop worrying about silly labels and just carry on enjoying the game?

It probably makes you 'prepared'...

I care quite a bit if I'm out on my mountain bike and I see a bear... Especially if there are baby bears about. :)

Oh, in the game? I don't care. :)

There is also a combo situation where there is a bear and bear's baby bears you don't care about, but you have food in your backpack and they care about YOU.

Sorry? What is a carebear???

Originally? A perjorative term from the grinning puppies for players who opposed their seal clubbing and told them so, while at the same time refusing to meet them on their chosen battlefield and rather opted to act behind the scenes...

Turned out that those cuddly teddies had a few teeth of their own, though.

Nowadays, seemingly anyone who chooses not to butt heads with them in open but still has the impertinence of speaking their mind about them while at the same time "hiding" in PvE groups or solo. Stems from a (im my opinion) overly sweet and cuddly kid's TV series - although the ED carebears occasionally will come over a bit more serious:

I'm fine with you doing whatever you want, but I don't understand why you should be "proud of" because solo/private is the same as open MINUS player interaction and PVP.
Your solo/private game is the same as open but there's no PVP and interaction/random encounters. It's literally less, it's objectively inferior.

Would you mind filling my other lulzbucket please? I want to wash the car.

You say that like it's a bad thing.... (and there can be PvP - just with select others and there will still be random encounters with NPCs)

It's literally less, it's objectively inferior.

Subjectively, not objectively - it rather depends on one's opinion of PvP.

No. Please read my post properly before commenting.

Solo/private is less because you can't PVP or have random encounter with a player.

Get the maths?

Things you can do in OPEN: Everything

Things you can do in SOLO: Everything minus player encountering.

It's less. It's objectively less because you can do everything you do in solo in open, and encounter players as an addition. I don't understand why you should feel proud for doing "less".

If, being concerned how my actions may negatively impact my fellow CMDR's qualify me as one then, so mote it be.

More content for clarification. Strangely, I have done PvP but it was by mutual consent. I won some, I lost some. No big deal.
