I'M BACK... with another idea.. for DK2

YEp! .. I'm back... Still no joy with Elite in Dk2...aaagggrrr!.
Have tried a lot of stuff on the forums...( thank you everyone for ALL your hints and tips..)
I left elite for a few looonng months and now ready for the challenge again.
SO,where am i now?
The Dk2 works GREAT! ....with everything i have ,with a few tweaks here and there for some games, Yet, generally everything works GREAT!, even with the VorpX program..( well skyrim has a problem with the moon looking as if you could touch it )-- Eveything works ,all lights on the DK2 are blue..Until i try elite.Then I ,still,get the Orange light of death.no camera sensor,(Elite menu shows an option in the 3d for side by side and analog?(i think thats what it says.. Yet thats the only options still?).

So, I begin to wonder,(as this this the only game i have problems with)
IS there anything i could 'tweak' with in the elite game itself.
Could i use an older 'firmware driver'? [yesnod]

THe things i have tried is a long list. from reinstall game ,windows,update all drivers, new cables,swapping cables, standing naked, on one leg by the light of the full moon covered in the blood of a freshly scarified chicken from woolies,whilst chanting to the Deme god of video games ..............:O
Well you get the idea...

Encouragingly, quite a few other users in here are still getting by fine with the DK2. Hopefully your issue could be something fairly simple.

Can you add ED to your list of Steam games and launch from within SteamVR? (just a thought, I'm on a CV1 and no experience with the DK2)

I just set up ED on my 2ndary comp with my DK2, start the current oculus home, have unknown sources enabled, run game, go to HMD in 3d and it worked for me.

Same here! All good here with DK2. Just follow those steps. If still having problems maybe you should do a complete re-install of ED!

Thanks for the replies.. have tried a reinstall, including windows, Set rift to 'unknown sources' still no joy, only 2 options in the 3D menu-- side by side and that analoge thingy...
Strange thing, i even tried it running through VorpX and still no joy and steam has the same result?
very disappointed.
I running a msi titan lap top and using the 'graphic card NOT the integrated one , there's enough 'kick' in the machine to run elite on very high .

I'm must be missing something......hhmmmmm.
