Newcomer / Intro I'm back!

For anyone who is unaware of this trick, it is hands down THE quickest way to make money.

By doing WMMs and sharing with others, I made over 3 billion since Saturday. And one of my sharing sessions was just giving ₡550M to people who had no missions to contribute.

Even if you're doing this solo, you can get missions that pay ₡50M for ₡10M worth of gold, and although it's a "mining" mission, you don't have to mine it, you can just go buy it. There are systems nearby that sell it at a good price, or there are fleet carriers selling it at a "modest" markup right by the stations.

The Pilots Trade Network have a Discord that people arrange these shares on - sometimes you can just join and share in other people's profits, some people prefer that everyone brings a few missions to the sharing party but plenty don't care.
Glad you found the PTN. Our motto is, “We exist to make you rich.” When I first joined, I headed to Wally Bei and started taking missions and hauling, but I didn’t know how it all worked exactly and was quickly running out of money. I was just about to cut my losses and bail, but some kind folks talked me out of it. I was down to something like 50k credits when I finally got into a turn-in group and all of a sudden I was a billionaire. And a week later I had a carrier.

I actually posted my Inara credit graph to the Discord with the caption, “guess when I joined the PTN?” The slope was pretty much vertical.

While I find the WMM’s the fastest/most consistent source of funds, I highly recommend that you join one of the Booze Cruises. It’s good money, but also a lot of fun. Definitely a party atmosphere.

The other thing I really like about the PTN is that once people have made their fortunes, most find a way to give back and help other commanders get rich as well. It’s a great player community.

Very odd.

There's no way that is correct. It's right on the well travelled route between the Jameson crash site and the nearest encoded materials trader. Galaxy map shows other people's names all over this system.

So... apparently I was first to discover this black hole.

But I know the "first" credit can be glitchy, so when I try to go find it to see if my name is on it...

Well, EDDiscovery agrees with me that it exists...

Oh. If I paste it in, Bramboo FB-X f1-76, it works! And yes, my name is there. I had assumed that the black holes would have mostly been found by now. I found a few of them but they all had names on, I thought.

I think all the ones known in the twentieth century in this galaxy will have been ‘found’, for the rest it is still a big galaxy almost all of which no one has visited.

I picked a random spot in the middle of nowhere, and I think four out of five of the black holes, and most of the white giants, had been visited. People seem to home in on the little glow that they have on the galaxy map if you filter it so that no stars show up to clutter the screen.

Datamined Wake Exceptions... is famine distribution centres still the best?
Jameson site trading is probably faster, as that's been massively buffed now...

Didn't find any distribution centers. Went with the classical method of keeping the scanner on my ship and scanning wakes at the stations I was running through on regular mission business. Slow going - but by the time I had the corrosion resistant cargo racks and Marco unlocked (I restarted my CMDR this year), I also had the wakes for the size 4 SCO FSD V1, without any trading. I don't like relogging.
Next step will be to drift around one or another Titan wreck and collect everything I can find while hoping for the drive components.

They buffed the site - there are twice as many comms thingies, and they drop 12 materials each, so that's usually 90/100 for one visit.

I've been farming Titan Drives as well, got four on my main and two on one of my alts. Pretty slow going, but not the most tedious grind in the world.

I can't get rid of this!

I think I got it when some wingmates scanned a system that I'd already done.

Ah, when I got some more data elsewhere, then I could sell and clear it.
