I'm looking for a free MMORPG on Xbox

I'm mainly interested in story and don't want the grind to get in the way of that. I would also prefer a fantasy setting, but am open to other settings if they give a similar feel. Any suggestions?

Skyrim is not MMO

The only MMORPG that Bethesda make us Fallout 76 and that is sci fi

I may have worded it a little wrong. I get there will be some grind, I just don't want to get in the way of the story.

I really can't think of any that any good at all.

The 'free' MMO market is geared towards obtaining your hard earned money via boosting to break through the tedious grind walls.

Elder Scrolls Online is maybe your best bet, but that isn't free.

Star Trek Online is free to play, but obviously isn't a fantasy setting.

If it was a one and done payment, I might be open minded, but it seems it keeps getting you to pay for more content with a bajilion expansions or a subscription, which just turns me off.

Also, the game is rubbish.

People complain about ED grind, they have not experienced ESO. Morrowind graphics and interminable grind.

Personally, I think all MMOs are 'rubbish'... but that's not the OP's opinion.

The full story is a Youtuber I like started playing FF XIV online and it interested me, but isn't on Xbox, so I was hoping to find something to scratch that itch.
