What is fascinating is the number of people that say that the game is terrible and frontier are incompetent and keep on hanging around here. It’s puzzling.
Dare I say masochists or people who actually enjoy being angry?
When they actually leave we get an open letter announcing why everybody lost a person of quality.
Ah also let’s not forget the army of know-it-all gamedevs with 10/10 hindsight vision. They never did that job yet they know everything about it… from game design to marketing. I guess those hang around to educate the lot.
I have my own theory concerning some members of our community.
I just find so fascinating the energy that some members spend in badmouthing the game, creating drama, and making over the top claims of fowl play from FD.
I also find fascinating how much of those players seem related in some way or another to another space game that I wont be naming here, or at the very least mention it in some way or another.
And even stranger, even when that space game company has done things WAY worse than anything FD could have ever done, they seem oddly forgiving when it comes to them.
And while they have always been active in the forums, they have been even more active since odyssey released, which includes features that the other space game also has and was until now the only thing it had that Elite didn't.
Of course, I'm not saying that every player that finds concerns with the release of odyssey has a hidden agenda, that would be just straight paranoia. There are after all genuine concerns to be found about the game and pointing them out is healthy and necessary for the game.
And obviously I wont be pointing fingers since I have no proof, its just a theory.
