Horizons I'm not able to download Horizons cause the speed is to slow.

slow because lots of players downloading? then maybe try over night what i had to do, still took me 7-8 hours in all, rather then the "2 days" it said during the first hours :S
spent most of yesterday downloading Horizons turns out it was the 32bit version now requires an upgrade - now downloading 64bit version instead this is getting to be a download fest are they in cahouts with isps' to use up bandwidth? and what is it with task manager? reporting 0 download speed but the sownloader reports 8-10mBs?

I don't buy the whole "because it's busy" thing. I believe the downloader built into the launcher is broken. End of.
Back in the early days of beta for the original product I used to get good download speeds. At the same or similar time there was a problem jumping in and out of super cruise and the answer was to mess about with the MTU setting on your router. Then it got fixed and people no longer complained about the MTU thing. At some point around then I noticed my update download speeds go through the floor.
I'm now sitting here on an 80Mbit fibre link that usually downloads from big suppliers (Apple, Steam, etc.) at 8MB/s, even 9 sometimes and yet ED:H is coming down at 0.06MB/s. That's dial-up speeds. If it genuinely is "because lots of people are downloading it" then add extra download capcity. It's not like the launch of the new game came as a surprise to Frontier.
Anyway. No point in having it download that slowly. I'll come back to it some other time. But the last few times this has happened to me I ended up not bothering. In fact, thinking about it, I've not properly played this game since Beta which is a shame as I liked it then.
