I'm not playing this Game but thought I should warn the Players about this

Brings new meaning to my old game of "fleet carrier roulette"*

Perhaps newbie ships should have a fuel scoop fitted as standard so they can run away

Bill

park up on a random fleet carrier before switching off, and pray you're still in the same place tommorrow..... and not at beagle point, Sgr A, colonia, or the thargoid home world when you come back :D

Has anyone actually verified that this is true yet? Because, for some reason, it strikes me as having a substantially made up element to it, particularly the 'I can't say who it is because of Frontier's name and shame policy' part, which only applies to forum content.

Strange that people would need help or warning when it's a situation that can be escaped at any time for just the loss of your current ship! maybe they don't know about the suicidewinder express but advice is always available.

I'd also expect that most newbie players would experience at least one ship fatality in the starter systems.

I dunno, the whole thing feels like some person is building up towards an April Fool's joke

or it's just plain and simple clickbait
