I can kill big ships with it. That is not the problem, but it takes sooooo long.
Thats the iCutterI thought the hauler was Elite's version of a "Garbage Scow"

Er no, I jest not. I find the i-ships to be boring, ugly and derivative. There's not an original nor imaginative line on them. You jest, but I spent ages hauling 720T of biowaste at a time in my Cutter between Ceos and Sothis alongside all the data missions, to get my Corvette.
T9 ship kit is a T10.Considering some of the ships that have them and yet my beloved T9 is still awaiting one, I wouldn't be surprised if they did a Hauler one first just as a joke.

Strip it down and fit it with Enhanced Performance Thrusters and it'll go 700+ m/s and be pretty darn nimble, too.
Strip it down, fit it with a half-sized fuel tank, and it'll jump 35 LY without engineering or Guardian tech.
There's a reason the humble Hauler was one of the darlings of Buckyball (along with the Asp) before the DBX changes made that ship the new dominant racer.
I have to admit it took me sometime to understand what that isyou've opened the gates to madness
