I'm pretty sure opinion polls drop rate is bugged.

From what I researched, the general consensus to farming the 40 opinion polls required to unlock Kit Fowler is landing at tourism settlements, finding each habit port, and hoping it will appear. Then leave the settlement. Rinse and repeat. I was curious if the BGS would have an affect on the drop rate, so I went to a tourism settle that is currently in an "election" state hoping for a higher drop rate.

After a couple of tries, not one dropped. I have over 300 data pieces collected and not a single is an opinion poll. I'm really starting to think that opinion poll drop rates are bugged or have a very low drop rate that is absurd.

I was at a high tech research settlement looking for health monitors yesterday and i got TWO opinion polls in my first run of the place and one in the second. Haven't gone back yet but I'm gonna try it again.

Pretty sure i just got really lucky tho.

Are you buying stuff with arx while you are looking? If you are, you are playing the game as frontier intended. Design the grind to keep people in game as long as possible so they buy more arx.

They really need to let us just choose what materials we want as a mission reward, and then show us missions that are "worth that much" as in, -could- have that mat as a reward.

It would work great.

If we blame this situation on a specific Frontier employee, and accuse him of being in the pay of the Star Citizen team, does that count as a "smear campaign", and would 8 of these unlock Yardem Bond?

I have exactly one.
But i never done any touristic settlements.
Got mine from a mining settlement

Guess in 6 months i'll be there.
Or maybe FD will patch out either the drop rate or the stupid quantity in the requirement
Anyway, even if they drop the requirements to 4 i'm looking at a couple of weeks at least

Yeah, they drop from any Hab data point I think - I've found them in IND and Hi Tech bases before. Tourist give better returns because they have more habs. There are rarer ones i think - I've still got exactly one of the AX and Xeno ones. And the elusive Smear Campaigns obviously.

ofc now someone will point to a fountain of the Xeno scans ;)

anyway, i will soon establish meself in Robigo
They have 2 anarchies... and some touristic settlements. So yea, massacre civilians all over again
