I'm rich- plz nerf everything!

You can get 200t out of a T9 or Anaconda solo, doing it in a groups all well and good but it isn't for profit its for the fun of playing in a group :p which is exactly why I say the FDL isn't a pirate ship. The clippers a better pirate ship that costs less and always has been :p pirating in the FDL is like trading in the FDL, possible but ineffective.

Have you checked the "bounties issued in system" in the Station Services? It's in the thousands and hundreds of thousands per day, even in low population systems - and I have no proof, but I'd suspect it also counts the NPC bounties that in turn are "farmeable" by "bounty hunters".

Your 180 aquired bounties is not even a drop in the ocean and in the current system not a reason for the cops to go all crazy.
Maybe the scale of this entire thing is too large to grasp. They might require to make things a bit more transparent. (and maybe that would depress even more players than being too rich, since then they officially get told that while they're king of Icy Body No 273842123454353 and have the right to *buy* a cutter, that's just tincups the empire hands out, because they can and have 273842123454354 more icy bodies in their domain to hand out kingdomships :p )

Only the ruling minor faction deploys security vessels, so by killing them, only your status with the ruling faction decreases. The rest might even like you better because of that and will gain influence. Engough to flip the system, if you keep killing enough of the ruling faction's ships.

Probably even rebalance it somewhat, without pushing the scale to the other side too much and make it unplayable.

Yes I am aware of that, we are talking a system with a population under 20,000 and my bounty for that system topped over 1 million CR at one point from memory...
when I take on missions, it's all about the BGS affect it has on the target system - expanding my chosen NPC minor faction :)

My point is, if someone is killing a heap of traders and authority vessels in a system then there should be a ramping up response especially when it comes to authority vessels, and one of the target systems, I am / was actually hostile to every faction including the pirates and an empire faction expanding there...

also one of the target systems - where my faction expanded into, both my faction and the ruling faction are FED aligned, and the other factions there are independant...

Security should respond to a players actions, and really there should be a criminial record for players that persists through ship destruction that influences how minor factions interact with the player...

I thought 'trading in the FDL' is what one does when one buys an anaconda :D

The persistent record is the reputation one has with the minor factions. It's not very good, though, agreed. I do hope the 2.1 rework improves that quite a bit. It does feel stupid that you can land in a spacestation where you're hostile and greeted by the station with "blabla get lost or we shoot you" (don't remember the exact text) and nothing really happens. You can still get missions and trade there ... not really "immersive".

Being hostile to certain minor factions that I don't like is a badge of honour, since it's harder to achieve than Empire ranks :D
Flipping a station to another owner, so the previous owner, who totally hates me is out of the game and I have new allies in charge should feel a lot lot better than it currently does.

Regarding the police response ramp-up. That's currently a double edged sword. There's people farming the 15+ Vulture SSS's since the NPC AI is just not really bright enough and too easiely cheesed (that's one of the reasons Robigo is so easy .. if you could not cheese every encounter, your completion rate would drop like a rock), so the only thing throwing more rubber ducks at the evil murderer would achieve is give you even faster flipping of a system (one of the main issue with flipping Wolfberg f.ex. was the utter lack of stuff to shoot - the mission-boardswitching cheese was still available, but I try to avoid that as good as possible - even a lamer-gamer like me has his pride).

Weird but am I the only one who bumbles around picking up random missions in each station I land in not worrying about the money. I recently down graded from my python to an asp to try the ROBIGO smuggling thing and not caring about the money its fun but then I only take whats available then run off and complete then head back for whats on the boards. The o pants i am about to be scanned oops I hit the wire on the station o pants that's it then feeling is great.

Mind you i have been playing since closed beta and still have only amassed a personal wealth of 200 million but I am still having fun :)

You're not alone, when pp is quiet i spend most of my time doing random missions (salvage is my favoriate with my unarmed speed cobra, scoop and run!)

It'd be nice if piracy became more viable when passengers (and hopefully muh Beluga) came out. If those VIPs you're shuttling around on tourism trips were worth a mil or two each, with the usual fines for trying to drop the contract, but the missions themselves rewarded 10mil for a trip to Barnard's or something, we could have some interesting opportunities on our hands. Of course, this is probably just the same pipe dream I've had since buying my Orca, but it's a possibility....oh, no, wait...we'd still need to make people play in open....when will they implement a "open-only contract bonus" idea? Probably never, because Mobius...oh, and speaking of bandwagons, no offense meant, but I've got to at least try my hand at this one...

Give guided tours to tourists to Barnard's loop. Get interdicted by a pirate. Jettison the tourists who get sold into slavery. That would be worse service than even Ryan Air!
