The trick (at least, the one that works for me) is to reduce throttle to zero and then charge FSD. When FSD is almost charged, align with the vector as much as possible, then throttle up to full and boost.

Good for you. Tried that, didn't help. Maybe the Cutter is better with that.

The only thing that may be described as flying, at an IAS of zero, is a fixed-wing aircraft at the top* of a stall turn or tailslide.

And don't even get me started on autogyros.
