I was attempting to land on a planet, and yes I confirmed that it WAS a landable planet...
I was approaching very slowly, even deliberately pulling out from the glide early because the planet has 0.51G and I'm attempting to land with an Anaconda. I didn't want to come gliding in too fast and risk a heavy ship crashing into the surface from the higher gravity..
But, just as I dropped below 1000 km... parts of the planets surface starting vanishing beneath me...
My ship then appeared to 'merge' with the planet, spinning in circles within its interior... then it nosed up and flew off the top of my screen and vanished, and now I've become the planet itself... with some strange glowing Pear!
I can't escape, I've lost all my huds... when pressing ESC, I've lost the game menu. I had to use the Windows Task Manager and force the game to shut down, and I'm scared to log back in!
Anyone ever encountered anything like this, and know how I can resolve it without crashing and blowing up? I have months and months worth in cartography data from the Elysian Shore and The Formidine Rift that I don't want to lose...
