LostWinds I'm stuck

I can't get past the part where you need to use the flower-copter thingy, to get up on to the cliffs after the 2nd shrine.

Perhaps those of you who have beaten the game, could make a GameFAQ for those who haven't.

I now know where I'm stuck. I cannot get the fire to work with slipstream. Seriously, I've gotten so frustrated by it I'm just not going to play the game until someone helps me out.

Have you actually unlocked the slipstream power? When you load your game there should be a slipstream icon in amongst the other powers in the save game information panel.

Is the fire lit? make sure that the start of the slipstream is just behind the fire so that the line passes through the flames.

Edit: Also make sure that you are holding the B button when drawing the line, not the A button.

Great game, but i'm a bit fustrated as i'm stuck

I'm about 40mins into the game, I spoke to Deo and he told me to goto a shrine, however when I continued right, I went over a bridge (below a windmill) and jumped up on a platform using a mushroom, once I then jumped over and head left, (jumped over the windmill) theres a few enemys to kill but it I can't proceed as theres some vines that are blocking...I then tried going to the platform above zooming out and guiding the flames to burn the vines but it isn't working.

I read a walkthrough but it doesn't seem correct, as it says speak to noesta after deo, however when i follow the guide I end up back at deo.

Any advice? love the game just wish I wasn't stuck!

To be honest I can't remember what powers I have, although I did visit the first shrine and got increased power for the gust.

I have just re-read the walkthrough, seems to make sense seeing I was mixing up character names, think instead of heading to the right after speaking with Notea I need to go left. Feel a bit silly now! Will try when I get back from work!

Owell, great game hope to see the sequel.

When it comes to relearning a game mechanic, take a closer look at Okami. In that game, you press + to get into the game menu and you find a "learned techniques" like journal. In there, there is a detailed description of how to execute a move in Okami. It includes some pictures and Wiimote actions.

LostWinds could benefit to a menu like this, please consider it when making your map also!

Sounds like you've solved it already but there's a very easy to follow illustrated guide there for if/when you get stuck again.
