Imperial assassin- three railguns Courier.

Here is another of my "unorthodox" builds. Enjoy the video, if you have any questions, put them in the comments:

are those 3 C2 railguns or C1 railguns?

I've thought about loading up railguns on my conda for lulz but the crappy ammo supply stops me from doing that.. The most convenient quick killing build I have at the moment uses 3 C3 beam turrets, 2 C2 pulse turrets, 1 C4 Gimballed cannon, and 2 C1 pulse turrets.

But I'm always looking to improve and or increase the fun factor.

Oh god not the rail guns ;-;, imagine putting the multi-shot rail gun on the courier...

As powerful as it is, I wonder how will it hold up if your assassination target is in a wing.

Or PvP... how many mj of shield do you have/shield bank cells?

3x class 2 railguns. Power is not an issue. Conda is a different story, but in beta i have seen a video with full railgun Conda, one shoting everything.

Granted, you need to dock after every fight, but railguns are sweet.

Nice! All in the name of science, and hilarity.

Should be interesting when you get the multi shot rail guns.

Well, im with Patreus, no multi shot railguns for me. Also, I believe they will be properly balanced, that means they will need a LOT of power or make your ship VERY hot. I cant understand "new equipment" hype. Mark my words, there will be a lot of tears on forums about those in three weeks ;).

Courier feels like it was designed for this build. Heat and power are "just right".

Are you also running into these sound glitches? (example: at 1:23 and for about 20 seconds)

Yep. But I prefer comfort over immersion, thats why I play on Dell gaming laptop and mouse: I literally lie on my couch with my legs on a small table. I would get better performance on PC, but i value my comfort, therefore I need to agree to some limitations, like lower effects or stuttering and other audio problems.

Looks fun :)
And what about plasma accelerators? Have to try it...
Vulture with 2 PA-s is great fun...

Watch the whole video- last fight is against a wing of Python and two Vultures. I took and finished a lot of missions like that. Im "deadly" (so maybe the "elite" missions will be more challenging), but so far I have killed every target.

I use FDL or Clipper for PvP. Railguns dont have enough ammo for wing PvP, the way we play. But I want to try some dueling. Expect a video.

Shields are as good as Vultures. I got one A3 shield cell bank, I could also fit 2x A2, with some tweaks there should be enough power to run it double.

If you look at my other videos, I like to construct some weird build (like the mighty "Battle Cow"). Everyone knows how to make more or less effective builds, Im after hilarity and fun.

^^ Looks fun.

Never really tried heatsinks or stuff like that, know if there's any place close to Cemiess/Vequess/Achenar that sell these couriers?

And yeah, I remember the infamous "Battlecow" can only imagine the surprise of a would be attacker when that ship turned around with the comm-message "Challenge Accepted"

Those rails seem rather weak. I'm not sure what it is. I've been running them for months but mine never hit that weakly. Perhaps it has something to do with how far apart they are on the courier. One thing that rails do have an issue with is convergence.

The thing is, that internal modules "tank" the damage. Eg. you can hit FSD and it loses 75% of health, but the hull loses 4% (or nothing). Im still trying to figure out the most effective places to shot on different ships. Oh, and the closer you are, the bigger damage.

Was my first instinct to put 3 railguns on courier, as it's tough, cheap and has plenty of space for shield cells. Only problem is I really can't be bothered to keep docking and reloading.
One thing I found odd was that gimbled and fixed guns had the same damage in outfitting...not sure if that was a bug

I raise you a Plasma FDL
and a Torpedo Conda (I also have a Combat Type 9 and Orca but not posted videos yet :p )

Im working for Patreus, so I will definitely build some amazing, yet totally not practical ships with plasmas :D.

I never had Orca, but here is the "Battle Cow" I constructed in february:

And thats how it works:

I have tested torpedoes and they were god awful. Glad they are working for you, I like the "headshot" :D.

I want to fight the Anacondas you are fighting. Apparently they fit three times less fire-power then the ons I keep running into.
