Imperial Corsair Cockpit Seats

What is this and why is it on a brand new GUTAMAYA vessel.

The seats appear blocky and rusted, with a haphazard layer of paint seemingly applied to mask their condition. This falls far short of the standard of excellence one expects from Gutamaya craftsmanship.

That is an Asp X seat, badly painted in Corsair stock colors, because the courier is only a single-seater, so some of the cockpit items had to be copy/pasted from different assets.

Just look at the current CG score and you'll see that the empire's best days are loooooooooooooong behind them.
Not to mention that guttermaya trash that just got released.
But if you were looking for excellence in starship design, look no further than the Cobra MkV.
Perfection.

I noticed that also. How can I wallow in luxury when the seat is a filthy second hand part.

Historically the empire usually lost combat based CGs while the federation lost hauling/trade ones, right back to before I started playing.

There’s just no excuse except FDEV’s rush job.
This^^^^. And strictly subjectively, on my very personal opinion, there are too much results of such kind of job in this new ship.

P.S. I'm happy and proud owner of ARX-purchased P2 Stellar, T-8 Stellar, Mandalay and Cobra V.

LOL, well, if I never noticed before that every ship manufacturer in Elite Dangerous besides Gutamaya uses these same seats, then there's no point complaining about immersion break now. Saud Kruger, Core Dynamics, Lakon, Faulcon DeLacy, ZP--the same seat is in all of them. The scuffing is ridiculous, but it's probably just color-changed from another ship design? And I thought the Python's Faulcon emblem was bad. At least this is generally going to be out of sight and mind. The Pilot's Federation must approve exactly one seat design, and Gutamaya turned up their noses at it before now. Probably all made by Brewer...

Didn't we have this issue with the Clipper dashboard smudges a while back?
Haven't flown mine in a goats age and I'll probably sell it since beaker arrived.

I wouldn't. Most of what the Clipper does well, it does better than the Corsair (except perhaps bombing Titans, which may never again be a thing anyway). It's faster, more maneuverable, and less expensive, and it has a size 7 internal slot...

The Corsair has more max cargo capability, and it outstrips the Clipper in landing on outposts, overdriving supercruise in a straight line, and hitting targets with fixed weapons, which, admittedly, are all significant things. It also looks like a bird instead of a frog, for those to whom that matters (I dig frogs more, personally). It's a different animal than the Clipper literally and figuratively. In roles for which one of the Kraits or the Python were already better choices than the Clipper, the Corsair is now a better choice as well. The Clipper is still the space Ferrari.
