A convention about a game set in space... the ratios are probably accurately represented.
Well the flavour text for the Eagle states how succesfull it was, so why wouldn't Core Dynamics built a new version. 
I'm 99% percent sure I recognise that as old concept art, I'll try and find it..

The kickstarter reward level for a bounty hunter was supposed to include an "Imperial Eagle MK3"
In one of the DB Q&A sessions I asked are we getting that or the standard Eagle and the reply was that we would get the standard Eagle.
Now I don't mind in the least especially because I've long since moved on from my now Mothballed Eagle. But really this should have been in since the beginning.

The one in the Lavecon pic has a cool new rear spoiler though (and larger bars on the wings)

A revamped/redesigned Eagle should have 2 underslung hardpoints and two over canopy hard points. Same as the existing
one underneath and two small HPs where there is now only only one.
The Eagle is a cheap dog fighter, why would anyone compromise its weapon convergence with end-of-wing placement?
I hope the Feds/Alliance get it right... they are going to be making their own versions, yes?
