Imperial Elizebeth battle ship, great action (video)

The issue with creating short decisive battles is 99.9% of the players won't be able to take part as it will be over before you get there.
While that's believable in a real world sense and progresses the game in a single player game it makes for poor multiplayer.
War zones are the equivalent of PvP arenas, if you are playing in open you might find other players dropping in and joining on one of the sides especially in areas of high interest.

The battles could last minutes or hour depending on the participation. You can always respawn a new battle somewhere else in the system, similar to the typical PvP match - eb and flow of conflict and all that. The conflict can persist even if the battles do not.

It just be nice if Frontiere hid this a bit. Giving a time limit before a player will be able to see Elizabeth in combat again, say 24 hours or so, have other differently named vessels replace her. I'm sure there are other ways to make this a bit less obvious to players.

In a galaxy populated by trillions living in thousands of star systems there should be no single decisive battles at all except on a single system level. There should be hundreds of these conflicts all over the place if open war breaks out. Hopefully a huge thousand light-year battlefront will have a lot more going on than a capital ship conflict zone popping up here and there for a few days.

Wait till you see one of those monstrosities jump in, gave me the willies the first time it happened.
I saved my game whilst still in that area to upload the video, i was in open play when i recorded the vid.
When i restarted i went in group play, and i then saw the Elizebeth actually just warp in, and the battle had just started, also the ship was a beige colour not blue as before.
So sadly this looks like a spawned event just for the player, am i right or wrong.

There will always be more battles. Hang around Lugh for a bit, there is bound to be one within the next few days :D

I'd love to see 2 capships going at each other though. Also some battles around stations (where the victor captures the station). The game feels quite static at the moment, nothing unpredictable happens.

Looks like the same old conflict zones we have had since I started playing in June with a new capital ship model arbitrarily pasted in the middle.

Yep. Nothing new here folks, except they slapped on some guns that can't hit anything, and a pretty cool warp in animation. Been playing the same combat zones for half a year already, yet everyone acts like this is brand new content.
