Imperial Hammers...

I just spent 4 weeks having a friendly relationship with A. Lavigny-Duval. We got along platonically. Still I'm not sure why she has issues with Aisling Duval. But never get in the way of a woman's scorn especially when two are fighting.

So how many Imperial Hammers do I need? Should I replace all my other rail gun builds then store another 10 just in case? The answer is how one plays the game and when rails versus Hammers works best in many different play styles.

Just don't upset any Duval women using them...

Regards

Hammers are more of a side-grade than an upgrade from regular rails damage wise. They look awesome, but are hotter. I’d even say they’re a little worse

Good for feedback cascade if you can’t aim. A little bit of bank cancel is better than none, I guess. Not bad for building heat for Thermal Conduit weapons.

I’d buy a pair, maybe two pair at the most. Mine just sit in storage most times.

I grabbed 4 medium and 4 small. Haven't engineered em yet.
I have 4 short range rails on my fdl. Seems they're ok to me and l just can't justify the mats to do the imps

How long is a piece of string, Hoop? Everyone’s answer will be different.

If money and storage aren’t an issue, I’d say tank up. You can always sell them later if either gets tight.

10 is a nice round number. Definitely don’t replace all your current rails with them. As people said, they are a side grade and definitely have their use. Try them out and see how they work for you.

I tend to bring four of each module, unless there's a specific need for more (such as prismatic shields).

I use two hammers on my cutter on a regular basis. Engineered properly I don't get too hot. Not even an alarm. I suppose I can if I just hold the button down to fire as fast as possible but that's not how it works. You aim and shoot. Unless your target is just sitting there, you aren't firing as soon as the barrel is loaded.

I bought 6 of each PP I did bar Prismatics where I got 3 spares of each class. I hate outfitting, Id rather buy an outfit a new ship entirely.

Havent used the Hammers yet so interested in the advice above

One of the few PP weapons I unlocked, tried and promptly sold. Module storage space is more valuable than Hammers, and landing a solid Rail shot is more satisfying than peppering the target with mini-Rails whilst cooking yourself. The measly damage boost does not balance out it's drawbacks.

That being said, buy a handful and give them a whirl. Never know, you may like them.
