Imperial Mess Dress Uniform

Apart from the political connections - no problems with that kind of dress uniform per se, but surely this would be the Federal dress uniforms?
So much this, along with a perfect Double Rimmer.
The very first thing that I thought of when reading the OP - perfect.
We get to see what an Admiral's uniform looks like, thanks to the picture of Patreus.

I'd imagine then being white with pointless glowing bits.
And rather ugly.

I guess their style would be similar to the one imperial governors (and other imperial minor faction leaders) wear. But they most would look less flamboyant than these, as the imperial NPCs on the mission board are either nobility, upper class citizens or very rich people.
On a related note, FDEV could we get these for Holo-Me, please? Even if that would mean we couldn't have Remloks, my CMDR would rather die in style not having to crawl out of a Gutamaya escape pod in clothing aslave indentured servant could wear (Scratch that last part slaves indentured servants don't have escape pods). I, on the other hand, would rather loose my ship Imperial Cutter as soon as the canopy is blown (Escape pods have life support, right?).

Just becuase the other inbred empires use black, doesn't mean we should have to stoop to that level.
Personally I want a white uniform, to match our glorious and unrivalled ships. Plus, it would hide the....ahem...stains....

Ah, so YOUR inbred empire wears white.. Personally, I think a nice, crisp Royal Blue, with some gold accents, and while filigree would be more suited - but...
All this color diversity - just imagine how many variants they could sell to us in the store....
I HOPE you wear your other bits. If you leave them laying around, who knows who might pick them up and what they might do with them!

White IS the Empire, just look at the ships.
Black is the colour of those filthy federals, who are just copying all the other dystopian empires they are based off (the inbreds).
We at the Imperium use white because we are pure of sin. Black obviously means you are nefarious in your doings.
Although that's not to say blue isn't a nice colour to use too, as it represents calm and order, the order of the chosen that is the Imperium, to lead all others to the white light.
So I'll say again, actual Imperials wear white. But I'll point out, blue is allowed. But if you ever come to work dressed in black, then take your backwards ideology elsewhere, preferably the federation, in the army, so we can shoot at you for being a lesser being.
