Important Notice Regarding Oculus 0.6 SDK

Is anyone else experiencing periodic freezing when using 0.6.0.1 inside planetary rings ? It doesn't seem to do it elsewhere and I have tried turning everything down graphically but to no avail.

Need some advice on SDK and Runtime for DK2. As a new VR user (my DK2 is arriving tomorrow) that hasn't had a working set-up pre 0.7 launch will it be possible to use my DK2 for ED? As far as I understand 0.5.0.1 and 0.6.0.1 will enable DK2 to work (0.5.0.1 being the safer option) but 0.7 won't.

If this is the case, when I first set-up DK2 on my PC will I be forced to install the 0.7 packages or can I choose to install 0.5.0.1? I've followed a number or theads that link the locations of the 0.5.0.1 packages in the Oculus dev servers but those links all now seem to be broken.

All help appreciated, will be gutted if after all the effort to get DK2 ready I won't be able to use for ED.

Thanks

Keeno - I'm in the same boat as you. I recently ordered a DK2 and am waiting for delivery. I was able to find 0.6.0.1 on the Oculus Site. I have not found 0.5.0.1. I plan on trying out 6.0.1 and if that doesn't work I'll do a deep search for 5, I'm sure its out there on an ftp or a torrent somewhere. I plan on keeping a repository of SDKs once I find them. Can anyone here provide us with a direct link to download?

I'm running two NVIDIA 970s in SLI, so I'm still waiting for Microsoft and NVIDIA to iron out the bugs before I upgrade to Win 10 anyway. But for now, I will probably dual boot my PC with Win 7 for pre-SDK 7 support, and Win 10 for post-SDK 7 support. That way I am covered for whatever version I need.

@Frontier - Oculus 0.7 SDK is out. Keep us posted. Would be nice to hear something about VR in the newsletter today!
