In game browser (especially helpful for VR users)

Elite is amazing in VR, the cockpits are great and you get a much more immersive experience. That is until you need to look something up on a website :(

Even when playing normally the Alt tapping to and from sites is somewhat frustrating.

I would love if the open source Chromium (that is what google chrome and soon Microsoft Edge is using underneath) could be implemented in-game. For VR users a little pop-up keyboard would also be most welcome with some predictive text help.

So long as they make it so we can use the FSS from the cockpit before they make it so we can visit the frontier store from there.

But I'm pretty sure we'd see the latter first since the former doesn't make them more money.

Why not just use Oculus dash? You can have a 60" screen onboard the ships with you. Or even a Cinema size screen floating outside the ship. Pretty sure Vive has it's own version.

Virtual keyboard included, plus some other toys.

HTC Vive can't run both game and that at the same time, I tried, spoke to a Dev who confirmed my failure was real.

Am fairly certain there is a program for Vive, I watched streams of vive users running some software way before Oculus dash was released.

Only watched a bit of this video. Looks like he has a crude version working.

OVR Drop is clunky but it works. I sometimes use it with EDR, a plugin to edmc. Ah, FDs E:D, land of acronyms.
Edit: but yes, some added assistance with the old VR would be nice.
