Inactive player groups on Inara?

There is one system that I was going to try to turn Anarchy. Its current controlling faction is a player faction. When I checked on inara it listed the player group as inactive. Does this mean the player group is dead? I do not want to destroy someone else's bgs.

You cant actually remove the player group unfortunately from their "home" system. Their influence just dropped to 0 over time.

Being inactive on Inara doesn't necessarily mean the group is inactive, it just means they don't use Inara. There are of course other methods of coordinating and recruiting, including Reddit, third party forums, and Discord. Also, other players can choose to "adopt" that minor faction simply by supporting them ingame.

For instance, I'm an active supporter of the Alliance Rapid-Reaction Corps, even though I don't officially belong to that group.

Yeah... my group coordinate through a private facebook group. Unfortunately people seem to assume if you aren't active on these sites, you aren't active at all.

You might mean Brazilian Empire Pilots, which has an ingame minor faction and inactive wing, but only one system: Agarla. Brazilian League of Pilots has multiple systems and 222 members, which seems pretty active to me.

That makes sense. Just to be on the safe side I will leave the system alone. I don't want to mess up someone else's hard work. Thanks everyone

There are also players groups that don't have an ingame minor faction at all and manipulate the BGS through proxies. I.E. they support a particular government type, allegiance, etc. AEDC's a big example of that. Easy way to tell: take a look at the system in INARA. If you see where a system's faction influence has swung by a huge margin in a relatively short period of time, and that the faction status has been updated recently, you can bet someone's working on that system.

The AEDC, Communism Interstellar, the Crimson State Group and the Mercs of Mikunn (at least, perhaps more) are edge cases though - if you look at EDDB, you'll see NPC factions they work with the player-group icon. CI won entry to the Dangerous Games based on their support for the Workers of Manite Labour Union, as did the AEDC for their faction.

Last post on their Inara site is from hours ago. They are at the Top thirty Inara Wings if you count their members.

depends on how honest they are, many of these Inara wings have inactive pilots on their list as people get burnt out or bored and leave the game. Ghost Legion had over a thousand names on the list before it was decided to go through and cull those accounts that hadn't been on in a year after contact wasn't returned. So how many groups are just using the numbers to boost their egos say like the wolves of jonai. So dont rely on Inara to give you a accurate idea of a wing

If you want it try and take it. Isn’t that the point?

It’s not really hard at all for them if they get left alone - just because ???

Get on with it. If you can't contact them to ask, do your worst. They can respond as they see fit if they are in any position to do so.
Even if they are active, they may well not care at all, or even welcome it. Having control of lots of systems can be a real pain when it comes to directing expansion

There is an etiquette to spreading Anarchy?
