To Frontier Developments and the Elite Dangerous Community,
With the recent introduction of player-built stations in Elite Dangerous, we have witnessed an incredible expansion of player creativity and engagement. However, this newfound freedom has also led to the emergence of offensive and inappropriate station names that detract from the immersive and respectful environment that Elite Dangerous strives to uphold.
I propose the following measures:
We appreciate the dedication and hard work that Frontier puts into Elite Dangerous, and we hope to see a proactive approach to maintaining a respectful and immersive experience for all Commanders.
Sincerely
With the recent introduction of player-built stations in Elite Dangerous, we have witnessed an incredible expansion of player creativity and engagement. However, this newfound freedom has also led to the emergence of offensive and inappropriate station names that detract from the immersive and respectful environment that Elite Dangerous strives to uphold.
I propose the following measures:
- Preemptive Filtering – Implement an automated system that flags and prevents inappropriate station names before they go live.
- Community Reporting System – Provide an in-game mechanism for players to report offensive station names directly, with swift review and action from the moderation team.
- Clear Consequences – Outline and enforce penalties for players who repeatedly attempt to bypass naming rules, such as temporary restrictions on naming privileges.
We appreciate the dedication and hard work that Frontier puts into Elite Dangerous, and we hope to see a proactive approach to maintaining a respectful and immersive experience for all Commanders.
Sincerely
