INARA Problems

Ever since I deleted my account and started from scratch INARA hasn't worked properly. Ive linked it as usual but whenever I import my information nothing updates. Its all blank (credits, ranks, materials). Has anyone encountered something similar?

Hi,

Never deleted my account. Does the authorisation page at FDev work correctly.

Mine has disabled auto update when it's got confused with which PS account it should be looking at but, usually fixed by relinking.

All I can suggest is try creating a new account on Inara and then link that to your PS account on FDev.

Thanks for the reply. I've checked and it's all authorised, it does say it's linked in INARA but when I import it states the profile was unable to import.

Yeah I've tried deleting my profile twice now to no avail. I was hoping not to bother INARA with the problem but it looks like I might need to.

Yeh looks like they might to reset something.

Does your account appear ok if you authorise directly at;


If you then check;


You can delete Inara there to try and force a link back on Inara.

Tried deleting and forcing a link to no avail.

I actually don't think it's INARA. I just linked my account through EDSM and again, it linked successfully, but there is no information on my commander present. Weird one.
 
Hello, it seems you may have linked and incorrect PS4 account, it's quite a common problem. Before the linking, either to Inara or EDSM, visit the Playstation network site and logout there, so it will ask for your PS4 login during the linking process and you can double-check the correct account is used. In most cases, this procedure should help. If not, please poke me on Inara and I will check what data are coming in, so I can supply you some details for Frontier's support, when necessary. :)

Thanks for information. Hopefully unlinking my PSN account from my Frontier account and relinking will sort it, if it doesn't I'll try this. I do use 2 different accounts on my PS4 with different emails, so I think you're on to something.
 
I am not sure if relinking PS4 and Frontier accounts will help (it may even make things worse), but check which PS4 account is actually linked to Inara and/or EDSM. As you are mentioning two PS4 accounts, so I guess the other PS4 account got auto-logged on PSN site during the process (the usual round during the authentication is Inara>Frontier site>PSN site>Frontier site>Inara), which may be a cause of that lack of data. Thus why the logging out on the PSN first may help, as it won't automatically log your other account in, but asks for a login instead. :)

It would appear I've lost my save, I still have my 6000 ARX though, but I'm assuming I've lost my Commander?

Ah, as I said, unlinking the PS4 and Frontier account may make things even worse. ;)
But, I presume there is no problem to link it back, so you won't lose the game data (the official guide). Unlinked Frontier-PS4 account will certainly not work in any 3rd party app. So link it back, be sure that your are logged out on PSN site and then try to link the correct account to Inara or EDSM. There should be hopefully no further issue. Otherwise please poke me on Inara, so I can check the data coming in.
 
I wish I'd seen your post prior to unlinking otherwise I'd have tried what you said 😂

I relinked it, and my commander was gone. I retained my ARX showing I'd relinked it successfully, but unfortunately I was back at Mawson(?) Dock in my loaned Sidewinder. I then attempted to relink my account after logging out of PSN, re-authorizing and still nothing (I probably did it wrong though due to my shock/anger/disappointment at losing my Commander).

I'm done with the game for a bit. I recently reset my account and don't want to start from scratch. I tried logging a ticket but now the game won't load and sits on the logging in screen eternity, I need some code from the menu to log the ticket so I've turned it off and will have a look later again next week.

Thanks for your time and advice though.
 
That's odd. Definitely put a ticket to Frontier, because if unlinking the PS4-Frontier account and linking it back will mean a complete loss of commander's data, there should be a big red warning about that at least. I hope they will be able to sort it out.

If you've unlinked your PSN account on the Frontier Auth site just raise a ticket and they will be able to restore it. I did the exact same thing a month or so back.

It looks like the account is gone but they will be able to restore it.

When I said unlink I meant from Inara not the PSN account.

Unlinking my PSN was all me, your instructions were clear and probably would have worked if I hadn't gone off script and unlinked my PSN 😂
