Increase the field of view for greater depth.

Something that I have in mind from the first day I play, and is that even increasing the field of view from the options to the top, in medium / large ships gives the feeling of having shallow depth, (I know that the feeling is different in VR) However, when using the UI Focus, the views improve greatly. As long as I can, I use this button to have that extra feeling, the problem with this is that you cannot use the free view with UI Focus at the same time (for mining it is quite useful) I don't know if this has already been asked, I am a relatively new player and more in the forums, but I think it is a humble request that greatly improves that sense of depth that a cabin should give you great, sometimes I feel like I'm very close to the windshield, and it's already implemented.

Feel free to think that it is a ridiculous idea, or in a better case if there is already a touch up that you can do to improve that feeling, let me know please, I would be grateful. Thank you very much in advance. I attached photos about what I say

The UI focus is more of an focus blur, since it moves you away instead of getting closer.
Even you could reverse / reverse its use.

an option / button to look at the different panels without keyboard

Hm.. not entirely sure what you mean here. Do you mean some kind of button, within the user interface itself, to change your view to look at the panels?

There are already controls to look at each panel, but you say "without using the keyboard" which I assume means without using a controller button either.

So... What does any of that have to do with the field of view anyway?

Sorry, I'm a little confused.

I don't know how to explain myself I think and the forum tools are still a bit messy for me ... I already edited everything ...
I mean when you press ui focus, your field of view increase(look pics),and in big/med ships gives you a greater "sense" of depth

Ah, I see, yeah. For a moment, it zooms out, then moves to show the panel.

You want the option to just zoom out permanently.

Yeah, I think that could be kinda nice.

I use that UI focus button to "pull back" the view at times - in combat if I am not using Track IR for example.

As regards actual FOV - you can change the value in a graphics config file (settings.xml in the %LOCALAPPDATA%\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Graphics directory) to make it wider than possible with the sliders if you want that.

Yeah, it is one of the xml files you can muck about with to change things - just edit it (copy first) and change the FOV number to get what you want I think that:

<FOV>60.000000</FOV>

is equal to full-right slider in-game so if you make the number bigger you get a wider FOV. (Changing the slider in game resets this figure.)

not good man,on 70 values, the game is unplayable :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:,looks like it will break,

I am doing something wrong?

I don't know what you might have done wrong. This is my screen (resized jpgs) if I change the FOV in the settings.xml file:

FOV 70:

144061

and FOV 90:

144062

Both run smooth at 60fps - I run 2560 x 1440 on a GTX 170

Here is a short clip I just made exiting a station with the FOV set at 70 in the settings.xml file - you can see it is really smooth. (W10 rescales the vid down to 1080)
{Note it takes a while for the yootoob to show in HD.}

You can always copy back your original file (you did make a copy didn't you?) - or you can just change the slider in your game options graphics settings page and it will re-write your settings.xml file for you.

yes,dont worry ,i believe you
From what I could read, I think it is due to the screen, recently I broke one and that for the moment another with 1400x 900 configuration, my PC simply started to fail even outside the game, but nothing that did not fix a restart :)
