At this point this would definitely add to the game without really causing problems, the most you'd probably have to do is to slap a seat or two in the cockpits in question. It would also make it really convenient for 4-people wings to get around in cohesion, and it's definitely an immersive addition.
Increase the seat number to 4 in the Alliance Crusader or another suitable ship of your choice to accomodate a full wing
