Incredibly long "load times" coming out of supercruise

Does anyone know what might cause above average load times when leaving supercruise? My primary loading screen (orange rotating ship) and leaving supercruise are easily 200-300% longer than they should be. I'd say it takes me between 10 and 20 seconds to leave supercruise, and 1 to 3 minutes for loading into the game. I've run performance tests and watched system graphs during loading and nothing is capping or appearing to be slow. So I installed an SSD and reinstalled the game to that drive. It made literally no difference at all.

I'm running 12GB 1600mhz RAM, Radeon HD 7870, and a FX-6350 on a 256GB SSD. It's not the fastest system on the planet but it's by no means slow. Anyone have any ideas or experienced this? It hasn't always been this way for me. Oh and I'm running windows 10 now but I think it was slow before I upgraded.

You're not the first to report it, supercruise transition times have been way up for a lot of people for the past few weeks.

Performance of transitions and transactions is affected by the time of day. At UK peak times you can expect a noticeable drop in performance.

that's a network issue.

probably my biggest gripe with the game. they should really fix their servers. it's really annoying. i'm going to make a test on the weekend. i predict there will be huge network issues again. last two weeks, sunday evening, i was stuck in hyperspace several times.

One piece of advice I saw for Solo players, and I regret to say I don't remember where, is to set up a private group with yourself as the only member (I know, cue Forever Alone pic). Don't know how or why, but playing in a private group (alone) completely fixed the long supercruise/hyperspace issue for me ...

Some days ago there was a post by someone who checked his internet traffic while sitting idly in a private group, solo and open mode session. In solo there was WAY less traffic to his amazon server compared to both Open and Private. While none of us knows what is happening 'under the hood' I can imagine this difference might matter when the servers are heavily loaded, and a private group might give better performance.

Yup. As Nexus-6 said. Make your own private group, starring you only.
Super cruise wont be an issue anymore....
Solo is hit and miss, minute by minute. I'm in North America if it makes any difference.

As others said, network issue and servers overloaded.

I thought I had read in a similarly related thread that the performance was actually worst in solo because it seems that the servers are treating requests from solo players less frequently, or something like that?

I seem to recall this type of thread popping up on Friday evenings, which suggests to me it is linked to the number of people playing the game. More people play at the weekend than during the week.

Thats what I said, hence why private group is better than solo. :)

I'd agree except that the bandwidth monitor ingame (ctrl-b) shows insignificant levels of traffic (and latency), as does a packet trace from the network card.

Its a server issue - plain and simple. The servers are not responding in a reasonable time to the client requests made for system info, therefore the client waits for a disproportionate amount of time for the response and it makes it seem like hyperspace takes forever.

It ebbs and wanes with 'peak times' as you might expect, but ultimately its a capacity related problem rather than anything to do with your individual machine or network connection.

Yup.

Doesn't matter what mode you play when this happens and the data required for change of minigame is server dependent.

yea, the stuck in hyperspace issue is. but there are other issues, too. the rubberbanding players you see within a system are related to peer2peer, not the server.

both are major issues that i hope will be fixed rather sooner than later.
