I think some of the replies here from people who've been with us for a while have been spot on. We don't tend to announce things until they are ready to be announced, and we certainly don't mean to create "false expectations" by how we communicate. I would point out that since E3 there have been many forums posts or new reveals (Developer Journals, Young Mbazo feature, animal reveals), as well as our statement that you will get more Beta information at Gamescom - which runs from August 19 until August 24. That should answer all of your questions! You also have the team here on the forums who've been trying to answer as many questions as possible.
The reasoning behind our communication (and why July might feel "quieter" - even though for us it's not!) is because of development times and preparation for the next big thing. Our teams are working incredibly hard to sort out all the activities we have going on in August. To give you some insight: we've got game builds, we've got press interviews, we've got livestreams, we've got a public booth on the show floor, we've got a community event, and then some! Not to mention we are also getting the Beta ready AND are shipping the game in November. This means there's a lot of activity going on behind the scenes which sometimes prevents us from showing you even more, because it either won't be finished, or we simply won't have the availability to do so. Gamescom is a massive, multi-team task that requires a lot of bandwidth, but it'll also be very worth it.
Now, I do completely understand that some people are feeling frustrated about the word "summer"; all I can say is that it's only 19 days until Gamescom, and you'll find out everything there. In the meantime we still have loads of awesome things planned to get you through the waiting days - and if there's anything we can help you with, just let us know.

Will this animal be revealed during, after, or before gamescon? I found it in the MysteryMonday gif. I was also wondering if it will be in the beta that came when we ordered the deluxe edition of the game.
