Why would you even do that?
because EDO is currently a hot steaming mess.
PS missions in EDO also just disappear after logging out and then back in... not sure which is worse: mission fail, or being a couple 100lys out in the black on a passenger exploration mission and having all passengers and the mission itself just bally vanish...
So why log in to EDO to take a mission at all? Really don't understand
edit: Not that I agree - missions are getting better all the time. And I've had EDO missions stay with me though EDH relogs, so ...

i too have, as an experiment, tried logging-off & back on in short order and found the mission still there, but then after some gameplay time and travel distance it seems to inevitably disappear... it's not a question of "if", but "when"...
