Interdicted by The Code rep for them playing properly/pirating nicely

I would happily be pirated by the code!

Rather than the recent deaths I have had in my explorAsp at the hands of an FDL or other wing. (must have been hard for them)

Yep, I do legit piracy and have been actually thanked for my piracy! Personally I think this is the ONLY way to have meaningful hostile PVP with weaker targets - there is truly no point to blowing up unarmed haulers in my engineered anaconda but trying to pirate, now THAT can be some fun!

If/when I see a legit threat combat ship like a FDL though all bets are off, I'm coming to fight (although still often asking or warning first LOL)

That sounds decent. I'd be happy to see more pirating groups building a name for themselves through 'legit' piracy, and not trolls who hide behind obviously disingenuous "we're acting for the betterment of the game" .

Just as a note, its fine to name commanders if you are being positive about it. The naming and shaming rule is only there to stop people doing witch hunts and being nasty to other players.

Its perfectly fine to say Kudos to CMDR X and CMDR Y! However, you might want to contact them just to make sure they are ok with being named, but i think most Code members are fine with public noteriety ;)

I don't think is a question about notoriety, you know this is my third post. I have start to talk only because this time we have a "victim" asking for a better piracy in game implementation. This guy accepted piracy interaction and ask like me a new crime & punishment system. Hey we are in game enemies but we want a better game where we can play in OPEN all together.

As regards bad Code and good Code members no there two different type of players. I'm doing piracy like OP said because The Code play in this way. When I was a recruit they teach me how to interdict, disable ship, interact with other players, defend myself and kill.
I have see The Code member talking 20 minutes with their "victims" to teach how rebot repaire and set modules priority because many players don't have any idea about this.
Every time I read words like sociopathic when someone is talking about The Code I think that person don't know nothing about The Code.

OK sorry for my text wall o7

CMDR Majinvash is a great pilot that enjoys REKING other CMDRs and extracting salt, and is very good at it (as you well know from first hand experience). He is also Code. He gave me his express permission to mention him by name here in such a gloriously positive light so it's ok according to 'official' forum rules as written here ^^^^.

Also, we at The Code could give a wenches about your opinion.

they havto play nice now they lost all their mods ;)

I love it that people think this. It's just not true.

We had ZERO knowledge of the exploit until 48 hours before the fix.

All of our ships are 100% legit, even many legit 'god rolled' (NON EXPLOIT, just good ole fashioned grinding with some luck thrown in) PvP meta combat and piracy ships.

You guys really need to chill with the assumptions and lumping all PvP groups together. Since we are 100% unaffected as a group, have had to spend ZERO time regrinding unlike many other PvP groups, and are fully operational; that means we can and will REK you at will. Assumptions to the contrary will be your undoing.

They are trying to regain the bad guy role. This thread has way too much positive energy. It shall not work, we all love them now
Love it, although I'll still have a bad opinion of anybody trying to pirate me in game as the law abiding citizen I am (quickly gloss over smuggling stats and fines).

But there is a big difference between piracy and some other motivations for PvP so while I'll grumble and moan about piracy in game, I'd happily buy that person a pint and shake their hand in RL.

Might not be how I want to play ED but does add some spice to the game.
