Horizons interdiction rage!

Frankly, after experiencing the rage from both sides, with some of them being rediculous, I wish FD would just pull the interdicting device from the game entirely. It sounded good from the start. It was fun for awhile. Now, it's just aggravating
and leads most to rage and complaints both ways. Now, I can't even figure out whether it's a real person, a ganker, an NPC, or some newbie with his first toy. Overall, it is a source of "game" frustration, which leads to " game" rage, and that can't be good for anyone.

I want to enjoy the game, not be frustrated by it. I sit here for a good time, not to slam my mouse down, throw things at my screen, or leave the game upset.

Let's just be done with the thing and move on. Certainly transporters would be more fun. Put that in.

I suppose no interdictions would be good for explorers (Which is why I don't explore much anymore).
But on the other hand, when some NPC says he is coming for you it gives you a chance to do something about it. (Except if you are 100,000LS away from a base) Then "I" after "I" by some super npc is very frustrating and time consuming.
Also, combat is sort of fun, but not when you can't bring some npc's shield down.
Combat needs to be balanced where player and NPC are equal.
If you are in open then that is an argument I can't comment on.
 
Right, the NPC's are shocked, I have no issue killing them all. But there is a disparity in the experience.

For those not combat oriented, newer players and those in unmod ships, it's tougher. Players call for hardening the NPC's and softening them, FD is at a loss no matter what they do.

Meantime, kill them all, let their gods sort them out. FD has hardend up npcs for thoses of us with corvetts , as they occasionally and more recently have 2-3 in waiting after an interdiction, and battling a conda as well as a fer da lance for example, does give my corvettes 4300 hull and 2000 shield strength a work out, befor I have send them to npc hell...never died in corvett yet, nor do I wish too, especiatly with a 45mill buy back, and deves reduction of what they call exploits in making fast $s, does make one think fast !
 
Interdiction has been 'tweaked' in the upcoming update in Jan (post Beta).

As long as the changes stay in, it has improved things significantly - not back to the ridiculously easy interdiction of 2.1, but it certainly isn't an exercise in frustration with the tweaks.
 
I thought that as well! Send a missile up their chuff and knock em out of supercruise. Fun for the attacker, not so much for the victim though. :s

Well.... EMP and chaff should work in SuperCruise. Also, high-waking is always an option ( unless hit before missile impact ).

SuperCruise Containment missiles forcing a low-wake, are more logical than the interdictor thingy. At least should be an option.

They changed something with 2.2.Made it allot harder.. happy im not doing powerplay anymore.
Getting rank 5 allready was hard, now its probably impossibruu

Getting interdicted from outa sight interdicters is also a rage inducing bit of agro.

The ones that come from the front and then do a U turn faster than you can follow them on the radar. Get my goat*.
I only kill them if they interdict me twice in a row and if I am going somewhere in system. I am generally too lazy to stop off and collect the bonus. Yes I know about brokers.

Just Curious... what is your throttle setting when you engage?
I tend to have mine right in the middle of the Blue (at about 70% in super-cruise) and usually don't have many problems taking down the target.
 
there is an engineer modification - for increased interdiction rage, uhm range. or for expended capture angle, for decreased rage.
goemon mate I have this Engineer fitted mod and Interdictions are still broken, 100% failure each and every time drove me to give up the hunt the pirate lord missions. My interdictor has been placed in ultra freeze storage because there is no sign this is being fixed.

Umm - yes, it's being fixed in the Jan release (after the current round of beta testing).....caveat - as long as they don't change it between now and release.
