Horizons Interdictions; and why I am leaving E.D. Engineers gameplay.

Pweh, another post from someone that has no clue about the struggle lesser players have... join the club... After all, this game IS called Elite...

Well, I am one of the unfortunates that play for 5 months now, and barely survive gameplay, played the last four weeks earning just 4M credits, and now am chasing engineer stuff because I udnerstand that otherwise I won't ever make it to a better ship. And this engineer stuff is hidden, so every 15 minutes, I have to look at internet to see what my next step should be. How's that for gameplay???

Man, the 1984 elite was so less complicated, only the fun of flying around and do some trading to collect stuff, ship parts and shoot a occasional pirate...

Well I offered some helpful advice by way of the video linked but if you want to wallow in your own ineptitude and feel no need to help yourself then that is your own decision. Just don`t expect other players experience to be dictated by your level of ability, or lack thereof.

Interesting thread. I have been in a hiatus since 2.1 struck, as I did not enjoy the new game mechanics (Kickstarter Backer with 1,500 hours of gameplay). Yes, I can certainly run from any NPC that interdicts me (Asp, Conda, Clipper). However, this is not a fun way to play and with the frequency of interdictions, it was just plainly annoying.

In the past, you got interdicted by a mix of NPC ships from Mostly Harmless Sidewinder to Elite Anaconda. You could choose your battles. Now, it is just overpowered Elite ships. Run or be ready to fight a very long and costly fight. If you are trade-fitted, running is your only option. Again, not fun for me.

I guess I will check in again once 2.2 hits.
