International Union of Zoos (Roleplay)

Dear Member of IUZ,

first of all we have to apologise that the communication between the IUZ and UNITY Zoo came to such an abrupt halt. We had some issues with our PR department that are now sorted out.
In this round mail we are happy to inform you that the master plan of UNITY was fully established. UNITY is - for now - in the "finished" state, but of course that only means we are planning new things, that of course also includes fine tuning.

After te master plan was finished we invited the german zoo visit expert @Gorobai into our zoo. We are glad that especially our zoo buildings and the animal wellfare in the zoo got a positive review from the expert, who is very well respected in our part of the world. Some empty spaces and the overall lack of foliage where, however, rightfully pointed out and critisised, so that's where we would start our matserplan B.

If you are interested, you can watch the review of zoo expert Gorobail here:

Now, as much as we look forward to improving UNITY, we are currently hard at work with a cooperation. UNITY partnered up with a traditional german Tierpark in the small north german twon Klopperby. We got news that Tierpark Klopperby will apply for the membership in the IUZ shortly.

Tbh people, I'm just more active on discord and in Gorobails community at the moment than I am in the forums. I'd love to be more active here again, but as far as I know @Orkan isn't actively here anymore, so no new zoos can be registered? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Greetings everyone.
It has sadly become a habit of us to simply disappear like snow in the sun even if we state otherwise, hun. However, this time we have an excuse: and it is the fact we can't rush greatness, with modesty apart, we had a really hard time making the next step of the zoo, considering it was the most delicate part of us to come around both monetary and paper-wise.

But what was all that for? Well the answer is very simple: to rebuild the very own foundations that the Dier zoo was built on: The outpost.

It's hardly a secret that the outpost was built around Donderende Kolos, and also no secret that it was abandoned during 1920S due to historical events, but it's not as well know that after those events happens, the surrounding areas of the river were burn to cinders, and it Fauna painted the river red, leading to the disappearance of many species such as the lechwes and okapis, those days were known as the bloedige nagte, the bloody nights, and they will never (nor shall) be forgotten.

But when the director of our zoo discovered this scorched land and ruins of this once full of life outpost, he decided that he must repair this, driven by the death of someone close to him in those very ruins, and with the help of many people, we accomplished it. And now, we are here to present to everyone, the New and rebuilt Outpost.

Now, the outpost has been remodeled both on it interior and yard, once a sterile front full of trash and detritus, is now a eco-friendly place for both our guests, that can learn about the nature surrounding them, and is also great to the local fauna, as many population of birds and arthropods use this space to nidify and reproduce, such as a wild population of African queens, that coexist in harmony with the guests of the park:

About the interior, it was rebuilt to better educate our guests about the world around them, and the wonders that we lost or about what we could lose, in other words, the interior is now a Museum, made from the many fossils found in the ruins and other miscellaneous educational items found elsewhere and imagens craft to this particular place, the new outpost is separate in 4 zones: the entrance, our planet, cenozoic odyssey and the mesozoic pavilion

On the side of the mesozoic pavilion, guest can also find themselves in front of the oldest known inhabitant of the Dier zoo, they were here since before the Portuguese arrival, were present during they stay, and after they left, during the rediscovery of the ruins and while the Dier zoo was built, and now they have a official place here, right where they were seen since the beginning, and all you need to see them, is turning right in the mesozoic pavilion:

Our keepers, Galvin and Sarah, are the responsible to look after our multiple hogs, since they helped in the finding of Draak fossil alongside many other animals, while also having a wild group living in the ruin grounds in it discovery, we from the Dier zoo decided to make the habitat of those animals right next to outpost.
When the population started we only had six animals: a male from rescue, called Brom, and a whole group of females, but now the population has hit the tens.

And that’s everything new. There’s also some other topics, with Emecita and Moed expecting calves very soon, alongside Voharina and Mahery

Congratulations to the couple.

But now comes the sad part about our message, as it has come to our attention, the IUZ isn’t operating as it was in the past, messages have disappeared, new zoos cannot be registered, and the Radio is more silent than ever. With this, we, from the Dier zoo, are ending communication with the IUZ. This was, without a shadow of doubt, an amazing experience with many tales told and many friendships formed, but at the same time, we should acknowledge and accept that everything that is good, shall come to end and we are happy that this journey happened with amazing people.

For those who are curious about the fate of our zoo, or had some kind of curiosity about something else, here is a more personal letter and some “WIPS”, for those curious enough about the future:
I think i have a share of fault on this thread, as i simply would disappear for months without saying a word here, but the thing is that i was never a fast builder, nor like to accommodate in small things, as i’ve mentioned i decided to build the entrance, the lechwe habitat and redo the flamingo habitat all at once, granted, the Dier zoo was the first time i played Planet zoo and not “planet habitat”, which partially explain the long periods between buildings, and considering how chaotic the last few years were in my life, it’s no surprise it takes me so long to accomplish things in this game.

I also feel like some people deserve some special attention on my part and a very big "thank you". namely @Firestar97 and @Britches for keeping this thread alive until the end, @Swjosdotschka for keeping the RP going and to be the only to interact in more natural zoo interactions, mainly in the Hasina subplot, and of course @Orkan for create this thread in the first place. Thank you all for making this thread more alive untill the very end

Now, about the Dier zoo, I don't plan on keeping posting regularly on the forums about it, but in the long term future i do plan on making a thread here when the zoo is finished to tell its entire lore, as I feel it’s something i created that i always felt actually worth sharing.

As for the short term, here’s something that i’ve been particularly excited to build (or could i say, to remenber me by):
AD_4nXe_1-2R2ULLND3hKvxDz8nCEPih9ZyEHNEGAImX98fv9LQLoXBcnNoP0RsH4DMQPmwcaixGEDm8tZxAHXMN-g6pISj9rB8KdGCJqpWU3QBeBvGD6Uy64a2Z0D7p1F9ScrGI3ubGnkYBXDcsQ_qA2fuqdyOP

At the end, Thanks everybody for this amazing journey, and our best regards for all of you.
With the best regards, the Dier zoo team.

End of communication.
