Newcomer / Intro is a way to disable the auto-targeting of teammates or team signals when entering / exiting supercruise?

question in title. technically not a newbie but a returnee but i cannot find a solution for this problem. googling this lands me various results of other games or just the wiki entry of Teams for elite with no real help for this very specific gripe i have:

to explain further, my gripe is that when i fly from a station to an extraction site with my wingmate at the same time, as soon as i enter supercruise i automatically target either my wingmate or his team signal at the station if he hasn't left yet. technically my target is also still the extraction site but without 'resetting' my target i cannot jump out of supercruise at the location like i normally do. any solution for this or way to disable that?

Maybe wingman Nav Lock is on? Though I must admit what you're describing doesn't sound familiar. However, wingman Nav Lock does cause some unexpected effects sometimes, like being pulled back into normal space when entering supercruise with wingman selected after the drop.

Currently, the only way is for the teammate to disable their own Team Beacon. No one I've spoken to knows if this is a bug or if it's intended, but it's definitely annoying.
