Is anyone else having issues running the beta in VR?

Hi guys,
this is my first beta with my Rift, and I've not been able to get into the beta and in the rift at the same time so far.

I got a new PC in January, or the end of December, specifically for VR ED, and got a rift a few days later. For some reason, I redeemed my Oculus Store key, and launched it from there. Come beta time, I couldn't even download the new beta because the folder name was too long.

Next thing to try was to get the Frontier launcher; however, it being beta time the servers were jammed, and I wasn't getting anywhere. So I went to Steam, and was able to download the game and the beta- phew! The only trouble is that I can only seem to access the beta in desktop mode, with no option for the HMD. Starting in VR mode only lets me play the live game. Booo!

Should I just suck it up, and download the beta again using the Frontier client?

also check the beta or betabugreport forums. Others are having the same problem. I dont know if there is a single solution. No probs here with the beta and VR using the Frontier Launcher.

Yeah, I am too now

. I take it that anyone who bought on Steam or Oculus Store can download the game from the Frontier Store?

I can't get into the Beta with VR and im using the launcher, guess I'll have to wait for a fix

Follow this guide from Frontier Tech Support.

When you reboot, turn off your PC, unplug it for a minute (if a laptop, remove battery as well), unplug your HMD from the wall power at same time. Then put it all back together and boot up.

You can also validate the game files and download using alternate download method in options.

All else fails, contact support and open a ticket.

i could not get into the game at 1st in VR. i had to go into settings, set it all up for a monitor. ie put on ultra and turn off oculus rift in the 3D settings.

go into the game, then once in the game went into the settings and turned on VR from there again. (select VR low / meduim / high in the settings then DONT FORGET to then enable VR in the 3D settings box just below) after that it worked
