I wish I was English like my hero Tj.

A quick tip that might be obvious but it's one I nearly missed: if you're on a long journey and scooping at every available star, a server disconnect on arrival will put you quite far from the star when you finally get back in, but of course you won't have scooped any fuel. Because the route automatically re-plots and selects the next destination when you open the galaxy map, it's easy to forget this and just jump to the next system.

I just had three server disconnects in a row with a couple of Neutron Stars between them and the end result was a nearly empty fuel tank. Fortunately I noticed at the last moment, and my next jump was to a G Class.

Seasoned explorers are probably well aware of this, but for those with less experience or -- like me -- a propensity to fly on "autopilot" and miss obvious things when the unusual happens, it could save you a Rat call.

Wow, was saying how much I enjoyed the game and asked a question about the down server and the thread got closed.

Nice they could close the thread faster than authorising my post. Real bad first impression - way to go!

Ok, the server has gone down for the 5th time today!

I asked this question in a previous post but before my question was even moderator approved, a moderator closed the thread I posted to (go figure):

I am a new player that is trying to earn an amount that most players would laugh at. I finally get some good offers come in because I upped my status and take 4 different jobs; so my question is this:

Does the in game timer freeze if the server is down? If not then I am going to be in trouble trying to complete missions because of the server issues and am likely to get fined - this would not be good.

I wonder. With DW2, I'm enjoying reading all the messages being unleashed by the DW2 Squadron. I know I ain't the only one on all platforms. Could all these Squadron messages being sent and displayed during game-play be putting that much stress on the servers?

That's a very good point! I've only had to call the Rats once, and it was due to a similar situation where a local storm caused our house to loose power. Thank goodness for the Fuel Rats, and I now always check my fuel level after any disconnect.

Im going to fail all my missions now due to this, I only had a 2 hour window to play today during EU primetime tonight when it all went bad again, so -

Dear frontier,

Please extend all my mission timers by 24 hours to make up for your failure.

Many thanks

A real question, Is it actually the DW2 thing crashing the servers, or is that just forum nonsense?
Hey, we're only human, we need some minority to blame for everything :)

If you do lose the jobs, open a support ticket, explain you're new, be polite, they'll probably reimburse you, they're pretty great (and welcome to Elite CMDR)...
