Horizons Is it just Aussies?

Definitely a bug in the server end.
Cerisse: I have the NBN in Dubbo and I played a wing with rrobes in Eastern USA. the only problem was we could target each other but we were invisible to each other.
Sound cut in and out to.

The problems you are all experiencing is definitely server related. Bet my right whatzit on it.

Just logged off at 1am GMT after experiencing lag issues in warp, undocking and mission boards. It's really making the game unplayable right now. I got interdicted and would have had enough time to go make a coffee before the NPC who interdicted me finally appeared in the instance with me. It actually took less time to blow him up than it did to wait for him to appear. then the count down to return to cruise again, the warm up started and got to 100% and nothing but the blue haze around me for about a minute before it finally went into cruise and I could continue my journey to the station. I'm spending more time waiting for the server to respond now than I am actually playing the game.

At 1am on a Tuesday morning there is practically nobody online to overload my ISP so it's definitely not happening at the users end and also, everyone is experiencing it so there's definitely something wrong at FD's end.

I don't know whether anyone has given this a try already...

Have you tried connecting via a VPN to see if that helps? I know it sounds daft, adding another route etc but it was a really good work-round for some connection issues a year or so ago. At that time I stuck a free VPN on (I used Tunnelbear) and the server issues disappeared. It might work if it is just the Aussie servers bustin' a plugger.

Since the issues are also happening to UK players, I don't think anything like that would help. It's FD who need to check their connections and their server may need a regular daily reboot.

The connection issues I was referring to were occurring all over the place, I experienced them in the UK and just adding a VPN in the route removed all the issues - it didn't even need to simulate a different country of origin, it just "massaged" the packets in some way that stopped the server issues. It was probably a different issue to the one you are experiencing, but it wouldn't hurt to give it a try I would have thought.

It seems this happen when the game update multiple missions at the same time, when im on a Conflict Zone without a massacre missions, it never crash like that.

I crash to desktop a few times a session in 2D, but it's more like a game shutdown command than a crash; The 'leaving wing' symbol appears, then my ship disappears, then I'm at the desktop. This takes about 2 to 3 seconds. For me it is not bound to a CZ and I've not been able to find a consistency - it just happens. Also, I'll note that using various system monitors there's nothing abnormal at this time, the game just stops

I don't have this problem in VR, though

Also, I use a VPN to play with Americans often, it doesn't change the crashing

With or without VPN, it makes no difference. I still experience major lag trying to do anything. It's now getting to the stage where the game is becoming unplayable and I'm spending more time making coffee while I wait for it to do something that I am actually playing the game.

Ah well, it was just a thought, sorry it was futile. Good luck in getting things improved.
