Is it me, or are the ship explosions and missiles too different/better?

I think it's new, in EDO. Space Conflict Zone battles are pretty sweet. Also, when you come out of SC to a starport, it seems to have more of that coming out of lightspeed to Endor feel. Not sure how it has that, but the model seems like it has/needs no LOD happening, its just such a nice transition.
