Is it me, or the Artemis suit is the best stealth/ninja/hitman suit hidden behind "exobiology"?

I realised that by messing around different kinds of missions and equipments: yes, the Artemis has less overall damage reists, but even with your usual G3 the thing moves faster, has a far less battery consumption than the others, and can jump very far with the jetpack. So that for assassinations you must avoid collateral damages, I ended watching guard patrols hidden on a roof, cloned the access I needed, then wait for my target without crossing the restricted area, just being close to the door with the access opened it, giving me a mere second to pop the tormentor and eliminate the target.

Armed guars around everywhere, but by the time they switch to alert mode, power their shields and rise their guns at me, I could just outrun them all across all the building and then jump away from the perimeter. Then, just had to wait for the Apex to show up, with a such tuff battery I weren't concerned being in the desert.

Now, I've upgraded the thing to G4, with night vision, combat movement speed, quieter footsteps is WIP and for the fourth one it would be sprint duration, kind of light armour weak but fast and stealthy RP thing.

I can basically wipe out an entire bandit base with an artemis and a silenced+masked G5tormentor only without triggering the alarm.

Anyone else that came to that conclusion too?

It's the suit that offers best mobility* - and mobility is usually the better defense if compared to shields/resists
So not only it can make a good stealth suit, it can also make a good combat suit

*(and by that i mean jump abilities and less dependence of a recharge port since it has the biggest battery capacity out of all suits and the most batteries for on-the-run recharges)

If only it could open doors
Yeah, as far as I like cutting those panels with the plasma cutter, I've found having to observe who's access level what then try to clone it without triggering them really fun and a change of pace, so you enter, you steal something/eliminate your target, you leave, no marks, not noticed.
But whenever I need to loot, or take something on crash sites, that's the Mav suit with cutter and big backpack, and for CZ the dominator.

If you know you won't have to cut a panel, it has its plus points. Though you are going to hit a brick wall in the form of a panel eventually. Something of an Achilles Heel but otherwise a decent choice.
And it's a bit of a "hit or miss": you play well, stealing the plans is a walk in the park, you get busted in a closed area with all the patrol between you and the escape route you're done in seconds if stuck in such gunfight...

Just achieved "quieter footsteps" yesterday, still have to try this fit.

sounds interesting...I don't see stats to compare clean g1 or g5 versions of all three pantsuses...are you, guys, sure that Artemya runs and jumps better?

At least that is the feel I have, but based on my impressions only. from G1 to G5, seems that shields and sometimes resists only upgrades, whereas the "agility" of each suit is the same anyway.
So, Artemis would be faster and jump higher, while Dominator way slower and less jump, but much more sustainable with damages during high intensity combat. The Mav stands between the two, and has its own tools such as the plasma cutter, so that is kinda the perfect in-between for moderate gunfight while looting stuff.

Everything of that, you can tweak to some extend by chosing the upgrades you want to put on them with engineers, at least this is my own perception of how this works but I may be wrong.

I use the Mav suit with Night Vision, Q Footsteps, Tracking and Imp Battery, i often found on stealth missions i needed to do a spot of breaking and entering :ROFLMAO:

Speed/sprint seems to be the same for all suits, but definitely there are differences in jump ability.
The Dominator is really crap in terms of jumping ability, Mav is average, while Artemis is jumping noticeably better than any other suit

The Mav for me as well. I no longer use larger backpack since I am fully updated and engineered across several versions of each suit. I go with the dominator for ground combat, because 2 long guns or a rocket launcher, but probably 85% of the time I am in the Mav grade 5, NV, imp battery, quiet footsteps and jump assist.

For my Arty, I like improved battery, jump assist, sprint duration and NV. Helps me get out of those canyons where the concha lives, and allows me to operate in dark areas without running the torch all the time.

As the game tips says, if you have to steal something, make sure no one sees you do it. So I kill everyone first. Problem solved.

I've oftentimes wondered about this.

I think the main disadvantages of the Artemis suit are the lack of plasma cutter, and less e-breaches... but... that doesn't mean the Maverick is better... just different. I think the Maverick leans more into my preferred methods, but the artemis jump range and survivability (iirc, it's got much better battery life?) lend it to a different aspect of base infiltration as per the Op.

G5 Maverick with ADM, EAC, ET , FSR / G5 Tormentor with AM, HSD, NS, ST / G5 Executioner with AM, GR, NS, SC. Since I am so stealthy I don't need a bigger jet pack.

Just let me say first, I don't do much of the FPS stuff (if at all) so sort of a dumb question, still, I'd like to know. :)

How do you acquire a jet pack?
I've got quite a few suits with some upgrades I obtained by just buying the suits at the Pioneer Supply outfitters in stations, with the engineered upgrades already installed, but I haven't done any on foot ground missions (I think) yet.😨

You don’t.

All the suits are pre-equipped with one it is just a matter of sorting out the bindings or learning them.

What you do is jump then in my case before reaching the ground hit jump and sprint at the same time the fuel gage pops up in the middle of your HUD.

Just to correct myself as brain memory wasn’t working as well as muscle memory.

I hit jump then while still off the ground hit jump again to get the jet.
