The question then becomes when is the best guess as to the 2.3 release date? I wouldn't be surprised if the ps4 version is ready but waiting on the 2.3 before releasing the ps4.
It would be very nice if was early in q2 but I expect they are still tweaking things (and squashing bugs) out of the current beta so I still anticipate it for later in q2.
The official launch date on the XB1 was early June 2016, so if Microsoft had a 1-year timed exclusivity deal then I would expect the PS4 version to drop around early June 2017.
You make a good point, it could be also based on a fiscal year which could end at the end of any quarter year which in this case would be March 31st or June 30 per the Q2 timeline

Sorry but this is incorrect. You are mixing up Horizons with the base ED. ED was first released for XboxOne in October 2015. Then Horizons around June 2016. The one year exclusive is long over.
I keep betting on early May.
Oh yes, I didn't realise that the date was for the Horizons release and not the base game. Thanks for pointing that out, much appreciated

It's fun. And it drives you nuts.

It was good to see the PS4 brigade were continuing with the PS4 launch campaign on the Q&A stream yesterday.
It was also good to see that Ed corrected Sandy's '...sometime this year...' with '...by Q2...'.

Yeh we got very few crumbs of comfort, I was maybe kidding myself that we would get some scraps yesterday. Thinking about it did anyone get any answers? (not just PS4 related).
In the grand scheme of things we have had very, very little. One PAX stream and one video on GameSpot. They are REALLY keeping this low key. Maybe that will turn out to be a good thing......
With things like pre-order bonuses and share play option etc being "too early to say" I am not confident we are getting a release soon. Unless its all a charade?
