Is it possible to change starting systems?

Hi, I've recently bought this game, predominantly to play with my brother. The trouble is our starting systems are about 70lys away from each other and we're both in Sidewinders.
So is there a way to rest the starting systems? I've tried a save reset 3 times and it just dumps me back in LHS 3447.
Apologies if this has been asked multiple times.

No, sorry chap you will always be put in ''starter systems'' because of their ability to give you stations that will give you missions at your low level, the best thing you can do is take some missions each and buy a small hauler then fit that with a D or C rated FSD then jump to each others choice of location after an hour or two.
